I have noticed that there are not many players left in pre-Searing Ascalon.

This can be a big problem, because one can't access The Northlands without a second player, so it's sometimes impossible to do the Vanguard-Quests taking place there. In other words: Some players can't play 1/3 of the pre-searing vanguard-quests.

So I suggest to add a way to open the door alone (or transporting the player behinde the door), for example via an additional dialogue with Gate Guard Torin or a new NPC at the lever.

Or - the easiest way - extend the the time, the liver hold the door open. 60 seconds should be enough to let even the slowest player walk trough.
