Final Balance Update for Mesmer - PvE only[edit]

Goal / Attempt: Mesmer is almost perfectly balanced, just needs to get a few skills altered / re-balanced.


PvE only[edit]

Cry of Pain Cry of Pain 10 Energy¼ Activation time15 Recharge time Spell. Increased damage and health degeneration to : Interrupts a skill. If target foe had a Mesmer hex, deals 25...75 damage to target and foes in the area and causes 3...8 Health degeneration (10 seconds).


Ether Nightmare Ether Nightmare 10 Energy3 Activation time20 Recharge time Hex Spell. Reduced recharge time to 20 seconds, increased energy loss to 10 : Causes 5...10 Energy loss. Target and foes in the area have -1 Health degeneration for each point of Energy lost (10 seconds).


Domination Magic[edit]

Aneurysm Aneurysm 5 Energy1 Activation time10 Recharge time Spell. Increased recharge time to 10 seconds and damage / maximum energy : Target foe regains all Energy. For each point of Energy gained, target takes 1...3...3 damage and all adjacent foes lose 1 Energy (maximum 1...40...50).


Blackout Blackout 10 Energy1 Activation time10 Recharge time Touch Skill. Reduced recharge time to 10 seconds, increased duration to : (2...8...10 seconds.) Disables skills. Your skills are disabled (5 seconds).


Hex Eater Vortex Hex Eater Vortex 10 Energy1 Activation time10 Recharge time Elite Spell. Reduced recharge time to 10 seconds, increased damage to : Removes one hex from target ally. Removal effect: deals 40...104...120 damage and removes one enchantment from foes near this ally.

Conlusion[edit]

Right after the Dervish, the Mesmer is in my opinion the second best balanced profession in the game right now and the most fun profession to play. The only changes I consider essential are minor damage increasments and some recharge time reductions (for even more fun and entertainment).
