Flux effect names[edit]
Since ANet is fond of using taglines from films, what about using some of these:
- "Be afraid. Be very afraid." (from The Fly) — IMS when adjacent to foes.
- "In space, no one can hear you scream." (from Alien) — increases length of Daze
- "One Ring To Rule Them All." (from The Lord of the Rings) — morale boost if you are the only member of your profession in the arena.
- "To boldly go where no man has gone before" — increases damage on targets with >= 90% health.
And slogans:
- "Reach out and touch someone." (from AT&T) — increase damage and durations from touch skills.
- "Takes a licking and keeps on ticking." (Timex) — add four pips of health and two pips of energy regeneration if less than 20% of base health.
- "A mind is a terrible thing to waste." (United Negro College Fund) — increases buffs/debuffs of skills affecting activation or recharge times.
- "Can you hear me now?" — increases the effect of shouts and echoes.
Also:
- "Double your pleasure; double your fun" (Wrigleys) — double healing.
- "Wouldn’t You Like to Be a Pepper, Too?" (Dr. Pepper) — left as an exercise for the reader.
- "Snap, Crackle, Pop… " (Rice Krispies) — increases duration of Conditions.
And:
- "You're in good hands." (Allstate) — increase beneficial effects of touch skills.
- "We try harder." (Avis) — increases beneficial impact of skills used by players with low health.
- "It's not nice to fool mother nature" (Chiffon Margarine) — increases effects of spirits.
- "Fair and balanced." (Fox News) — increases skill effects when target/caster have equal health.
