Hero equipment templates[edit]

The idea is simple: allow players to update hero's equipment using a template, similar to that used to generate PvP kit. However, there are several issues preventing an easy solution.

Issues[edit]

The primary issue is that armor upgrades aren't free. Some runes and insignia are in high-demand. There are at least two ways to address this:

  1. Template price quotes: visit the Rune Trader to buy use of a template. The NPC will give a quote for applying all the upgrades at once, discounted by the value of the current kit.
  2. Store the template-associated upgrades: allow the Rune Traders to store a template. If you provide the necessary upgrades, the NPC will save the current setup as a kit and apply the new one.

Background[edit]

Suppose you want to switch Gwen from being an Energy Surge dominator to a Keystone capper. The first role might include Survivor and/or Radiant insignia, while the latter ought to take advantage of Artificer's Insignia. The current situation requires several dozen clicks: visit the Rune Trader, get price quotes and buy 5 insignia, double-click an Expert Salvage Kit to remove each existing insignia, double-click to apply the new ones, and then find room in storage to save the old ones.

This is a waste of time, especially if you only want to use the second build once or twice. It's even worse if you want to do this for heroes across more than one character.
