Quest-medium.png Withdrawn I can no longer imagine ANet implementing this idea.

This is They Summoning Stone[edit]

Double-click to summon a God Walking Amongst Mere Mortals ally of your level that lasts for 30 minutes or until slain in combat. Summoning stones can only be activated once every 60 minutes per character, and only one summoned ally from a summoning stone can be present in an instance at a time. This item can only be used in explorable areas.

This is They Tonic[edit]

Double-click to transform yourself into a God Walking Amongst Mere Mortals. This item can only be used in a town or an outpost.

Mechanics[edit]

Each month, the game randomly selects a character with the God Walking Amongst Mere Mortals title and stores its skin and skill bar. The tonic puts the user in the form of the GWAMM. The summoning stone summons an ally with the skin and skillbar.

The filtering software should select GWAMM with these additional criteria:

  • Has been in a PvE explorable area within the last 30 days;
  • At the time of "capture" has a skillbar without any title skills.

Privacy[edit]

Not every GWAMM will wish their skin/skillbar to be shared amongst mere mortals. (Even though such data is unlikely to help identify the title-earner in question, the game should go to extra lengths to respect people's privacy.)

Some low-cost methods for allowing opt-in include:

  • Notifying new GWAMM title-earners of the feature and asking them if (at the time of earning) if they wish to participate.
  • Choosing 5–10 GWAMMers (rather than just one) and randomly selecting one of those who agrees to opt-in for the month.
  • Adding an NPC in the Great Temple of Balthazar who allows GWAMMers to sign up for recognition for Mini They; players would submit a single skillbar. The choice would randomly selected from those signing up.
