Hey Anet, thanks for removing splits, they were annoying, i much prefer two teams who don't use any tactics at all. It's also cool that without splits i don't have to learn any split maps, since everyone will run 8v8 maps. Thanks again, love you. Although needed, booning them was retarded. --SilvenUser Silven sig.jpg 01:07, 23 March 2012 (UTC)
Booning? Harsh bent, dood. Illusion of pain is still usable if you use it as it was intended to be used rather than spamming it like a prick to skip the downside. –Jette 02:11, 23 March 2012 (UTC)
Using it by spamming it is very energy-intensive, and very predictable, with the >1s casting time. I don't see what the problem with that was. 131.227.154.148 02:17, 23 March 2012 (UTC)
Yea but you needed to maintain it on split mes otherwise the target won't die >.> Now Split Illusion mes is pretty much dead unless we see inept mes back. 94.6.79.118 09:07, 23 March 2012 (UTC)
Split mesmers were a terrible idea and bad for the game. Hey let's introduce a template where you need at least 2 things to kill it or have your flagger in your base the whole game. (Or if you're lucky, your ranger with holy veil). Choose between die or deal no pressure! Fun. Yeah. Very intelligent, too. Playing a split mesmer =/= playing a split build. It's just camping the enemy base and running out whenever 2 or more people come back for you, you can't collapse to your main with it at all, cause it doesn't do shit! There's no tactics or smart play in any of this. 88.159.239.81 14:32, 23 March 2012 (UTC)
Splitting is still possible. What's no good is having guys soloing around. A character going solo should be under reasonable risk. Split mesmers were able to go around solo too safely. MithUser MithranArkanere Star.pngTalk 16:19, 24 March 2012 (UTC)

Peace and Harmony[edit]

Bwahaha! Peace and Harmony is the only skill I use for PvP out of those (minus auro of resto that is always equipped on my Eles) and it got buffed. Yey! :D -- Magic User Magic Icon.jpg Talk 04:46, 23 March 2012 (UTC)

Healing Breeze[edit]

Anet? After 7 years finally nerfing Wammos? No, seriously: did anyone ever check RA for Eles: Their small heal is not a big problem. Shockwave is. So why did Anet nerf Stone Sheath instead of shockwave? I will not understand

They balance PvP around GvG, and Shockwave is not that stellar against good players, especially in big maps. So honestly, don't expect to see a SW nerf (or any nerf) for RA, ever. EDIT: However, I wouldn't be surprised for a nerf to Stoning someday. Diogo da Silva 21:31, 23 March 2012 (UTC)
Sadly enough I think you are right. As for myself I never played gvg so I feel left alone on every single skill update. Why Stone Sheath? I dont think it was awesfully strong... So basically Anet only cares for gvg? well thats it for me, after this dissappointment I quit GW. --88.152.211.179 09:33, 24 March 2012 (UTC)
Indeed sadly almost everything in PvP has been balanced around GvG wich is nothing more than a exclusives club played by only a handful of guilds (comparing it to all the active guilds there are in the game). Before it was also balanced around HA but since HA is dead because of massive rank discrimination of the PvPer wich kept everyone away from it (same goes for CA) everything is now being balanced around GvG. Healing Breeze! NOOOOOOOO! The world is ruined. RUINED I tell you.--Boro 10px‎ 22:18, 23 March 2012 (UTC)

Well at least we still have Restful Breeze to offer us some salvation. Da Mystic Reaper 22:33, 23 March 2012 (UTC)
Healing Breeze had no use neither in PvE nor PvP by players. But at least certain NPCs won't run out of energy due to spamming for those who play with henchmen only. User Yoshida Keiji Signature.jpg Yoshida Keiji talk 11:52, 24 March 2012 (UTC)
They used to use it in gvg splits. And I still use it on my ER hero when i bring heavy prots. File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.jpg Chieftain Alex 16:24, 24 March 2012 (UTC)

Stone Sheath kinda needed that. Healing Breeze? Maybe not. Removing Cripple was kind of the only things Illusionary Haste had going for it, though. 2.24.254.115 16:29, 24 March 2012 (UTC)

I suspect E/Mos or N/Mos to be the culprit, but we'll just have to wait until the official response. --Boro 10px‎ 08:29, 25 March 2012 (UTC)
Healing Breeze now matches the recharge of Savage Shot. Everyone has been countering E/Mo splits with Rangers, and they kept getting their D-Shots faked. At first I thought it was too harsh, but then I looked up on observer and saw E/Mos waiting until teammates were below 50% and under spike focus fire to heal. The skill now needs to be used from more of a protection monk/wall hugging mindset. It's still among the best skirmish off-monk defenses in my view, only surpassable by something like crowd-control removal. --Master Fuhon | 冨本 02:47, 26 March 2012 (UTC)
So if I read this correctly the problem was a mind blast ele build? --Boro 10px‎ 13:29, 26 March 2012 (UTC)
Mind Blast in GvG was just the most common build that used this skill. The problem is usually 'a build' or a 'lack of demonstrated means' to deal with a build (I would like to have said "available", but sometimes it's really just "demonstrated". I agree it's annoying when they nerf a skill because of a top build, because they often don't help out any weaker builds that also used the skill. --Master Fuhon | 冨本 20:11, 26 March 2012 (UTC)
But Mind Blast was the obvious culprit there! --Boro 10px‎ 11:00, 28 March 2012 (UTC)
You're trolling, right?80.119.60.27 11:10, 28 March 2012 (UTC)
Boro obviously just wanted to be told what he already believed, so I'm only taking three shots at this. Since Entourage came to be, and since Immolate was increased from 3 to 5 second recharge, what Mind Blast used to do has answers to it. Actions and reactions revolving around Healing Breeze are to blame for Healing Breeze getting nerfed. He seems to want to single out only Mind Blast, but it's more complex than that. HB props up all sorts of fragile offensive templates that can stay in bases longer with more healing. If a 1v1 matchup gets tweaked a little, then people don't have to always trade a healer for a lone damage dealer. That's what was done here, and aside from this weakening dedicated splits and assorted casuals, it's still something that fixes a bigger issue. --Master Fuhon | 冨本 21:14, 28 March 2012 (UTC)
You're smart. I like you. User Felix Omni Signature.pngelix Omni 21:26, 28 March 2012 (UTC)
