Limits[edit]

I can only say that unlimited character levels with scaling skills and monsters only works in a game that you play completely solo. In a MMO you have to have some sort of player level, as well as have progressive enemy levels. The level 20 cap in Guild Wars was one of the big reasons I played it for 14,000 hrs. It encouraged me to play with new players, in all areas of the game. The type of system you are advocating would make this virtually impossible for new players to find mentors, if the enemies were to scale to the high levels (especially something ridiculous like 1000). Especially with the persistent world areas that GW2 is going to have, if enemies scaled to the high levels in all areas, new, low level players wouldn't stand a chance. I personally am disappointed they are raising the level cap as it is, I thought the level 20 cap was fabulous. -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 23:52, 8 October 2010 (UTC)

Yap, level 20 was good, but the general player of the mmorpg industry still considers the leveling part the most important. Shure this game does not consider the level to be THAT important in gameplay, but if they want to gather the attention of all kind of players they must have much more levels than twenty, there are too many players that consider level 20 as nothing because for them the level cap is when they reach "end-game" with raids and few much to do, and in GW1 the fact that we reached lvl 20 was when the players have much more things to do (but most mmorpg players don't know that, they never experienced that before). Having 80 levels is probably a good choice, since the mmorpg players already know this quantity from WoW. And GW2 leveling curve shure is more atractive than any other mmorpg we see out there. GW2 leveling system considers the players knowledge of other mmorpgs, their wants and needs and the opportunity to lead the mmorpg genre into the feeling of fun instead of the feeling of acomplishment - in other words, we had «*ping, lvl 75 after 10h gameplay from lvl 74* "yes, finally! now I can finally rest from grinding a bit."» ... and now we have « "yeah, kill them all, dodge it, kill agai.... *ping, lvl 75 after 1,5h gameplay* Woa, already, oh watch out, kill them again, eheheh". =P -- Morcotulcon 19:55, 9 October 2010 (UTC)

OK, before making a suggestion, try actually having some background knowledge of GW2. Virtually everything you have suggested is in the game and is old news. The weather changes (whether it affects which monsters come out, i cant tell you), there is a day/night cycle which is offset to the 24h clock, in that 24hrs game time is less than 24hrs real time. Buildings in the town (at least some of them) can be enetered. Everyone can jump and swim (smwimming is made available through a cheap and easily aquired consumable to allow underwater breathing). Heroes will not be in the game, nor henchmen... that was stated VERY early. I can say with reasonable certainty that mounts will not be put in the game. With waypoints and the like mounts are not necessary, and it means more balancing of skills etc. I dont think Anet will be doing that.

Also some of the things you've suggested have aleardy been suggested by other people. In the case of mounts, multiple times. Seriously, do some research if your gonna make a contribution. --Jimmer123 16:13, 10 October 2010 (UTC)

Indeed. Just about everything you've suggested, that isn't already in the game, should not. Two moons? I think its pretty well established that Tyria only has the one. Vampires, werewolves? Less Twilight please. And as far as no limits goes, particularly in regards to inventory, this will have to be restrained by Anet's server capacity. Above comments have already gone through the level cap, so I will not. Anet has already revealed much of how their armor/clothing concept is going to work, it already seems dynamic enough, so why make them go back and change it? Actually, the game is supposed to be in the Alpha stage, there really isn't room for "major suggestions" anymore.--Will Greyhawk 14:06, 19 October 2010 (UTC)

Dirty and Perverted[edit]

Why the ---- would you want to watch your charachter go to the toilet? Quite frankly the rest of your suggestions bar a few are ridiculous and or too expensive to implement. And your bag of weightlessness, this is ridiculous, you'll be carrying the whole of bloody Kyrta with you at this rate. And raincoats????? Your supposed to be a Hero, A warrior, a legend, not a wimp.
