I like it![edit]

Not to mention, they already have the map (right below the GToB) and location for it, so it wouldn't be too much of a hassle (as far as I know). Great idea but...[edit]

While I realize it is something that everyone seems to want I think this has already been covered, and covered and covered.

Most notably on Linsey's FAQ

"Will you add an auction house or in-game marketplace to Guild wars?
A: An auction house is pretty much out of the question. The expertise required to develop that technology is far more than the Live Team can handle. Even if we seriously beefed up the Live Team, we could not handle a project like an Auction House since it would require a huge amount of time from our very TOP programmers to develop and that just isn't something we can afford to do. I'm not sure what constitutes as a "Marketplace" but anything that would involve the automating of trade transactions would require "a huge amount of time from our very TOP programmers" and isn't likely to happen.".

I don't see that ArenaNet's resources have changed at all since Linsey posted that, so I very highly doubt they will give this very much attention (though it's clear you have). -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 00:51, 22 February 2010 (UTC)

Hmm, as Linsey says, an automated trading system is out of the question. But how about a Trade Filter System where people can filter items by name/type/price. The most annoying thing I see in Spamadan is that players use different symbols, spacing etc to make their sale stand out. I think a simple "wall" where people can post their trades in specific filters like type and name would be really nice. Also instead of automating the trade, how about a system where players can post a bid tied to their character name so the seller doesn't have to stand in town spamming all day, and drop in from time to time to see if anyone has bid on their item. I know there are websites out their that ppl can sell/auction their items, but this would make it much easier192.232.130.71 03:00, 18 July 2011 (UTC)
