Feedback talk:User/Goril/Improve Avatars

Would be nice, I knew that avatars needed an improvement. I also suggest that Melandru energy cost should be 15, as 25 makes it unusable.--IsaaCUser Isaac the Sinful sig.jpgThe Sinful 14:03, 8 October 2009 (UTC)

PvE does not need to be even easier than it is now. Also, immunity to every condition in the game should never get below 25 energy Koda User Koda Kumi UT.jpeg Kumi 17:33, 8 October 2009 (UTC)
lolololololol imba much --Aura 14:24, 10 October 2009 (UTC)
Melandru is fucking powerful. Doesn't need a further buff.
Dwayna still sucks - 5 regen isn't enough to bring an elite skill just to counter the possibility of hexes.
Lyssa is awesome lol damage. Doesn't need a buff.
Balthazar is also fine - one of the few balanced Dervish skills.
Grenth is also fine - making it completely bypass block would be pretty nasty. NuVII User NuclearVII signature 3.jpg 15:49, 11 October 2009 (UTC)
Only general changes I would say melform needs is gain 100 health on end to counteract the loss in the health pool, a decrease in energy cost for to 15. For PvE specifically I would make melee attack skills cause weakness and cripple for 8 seconds, because melform is very unuseful in most situations (compared to other avatars and elite choices). Means Avatar of Melandru and Wearying Strike is a much more useful combo in PvE.~>Sins WDBUser The Sins We Die By Sig.png 16:22, 13 October 2009 (UTC)
"melform needs is gain 100 health on end to counteract the loss in the health pool, a decrease in energy cost for to 15"-> wat. "because melform is very unuseful in most situations" ->wat. NuVII User NuclearVII signature 3.jpg 17:27, 13 October 2009 (UTC)
well among this suggestion he did have one good thought - make the hp on melandru scale say 10...82...100 -Talamare- feedback 17:38, 13 October 2009 (UTC)
Talking PvE when I said unuseful nuke. Condition immunity is always handy in PvP.~>Sins WDBUser The Sins We Die By Sig.png 18:14, 13 October 2009 (UTC)
Condition immunity is pretty rad in PvE too. Mandragors and all. NuVII User NuclearVII signature 3.jpg 18:30, 13 October 2009 (UTC)
"Fall Back!" + "Incoming!" is win in PvE. I just run through the game on characters that haven't finished various parts.~>Sins WDBUser The Sins We Die By Sig.png 18:58, 13 October 2009 (UTC)

Although, I would probably tend to agree that Avatars are...underused, I don't know if that's because they're underpowered. I think it has more to do with how ridiculous they are to use. The energy cost (in a team that doesn't enchant spam) doesn't outweigh the benefits. Especially now that attack skill spamming with a scythe is sooooo OP comparatively that elite e-management and an IAS tends to outshine Avatars. I really don't know the answer, but your suggestions are beyond OP. Karate User Karate Jesus KJ for sig.png Jesus 19:05, 13 October 2009 (UTC)

what if we as a group decided to suggest changes to make them more balanced then open a new page about it with our community opinion -Talamare- feedback 19:12, 13 October 2009 (UTC)
I don't know that that's necessary or even possible. Getting a consensus about anything on this site is difficult and getting a consensus when it comes to skill ideas is damn near impossible. I recommend that you make a suggestion page yourself and allow other's comments to curve the way you add your feedback :D Karate User Karate Jesus KJ for sig.png Jesus 19:14, 13 October 2009 (UTC)
See If I were to suggest that Mel should only make you immune to some conditions - which conditions in specific... maybe immune to the anti melee ones - blind/cripple/weakness || the pressure ones - poison/bleed/disease/burning || the spike ones - cracked armor/deep wound -Talamare- feedback 19:24, 13 October 2009 (UTC)

They are not underpowered. The Tree is still one of the most powerful skills in the game - it just so happens that Wounding Strike is even stronger. That's the problem with power creep - you lose a reference point of what's balanced. Avatars are broken, but elite scythe attacks are even more so. We're balancing around PvE nuke. The right way to do it isn't clear, because PvE is about keeping players entertained and having fun. Currently PvE is a joke and that is mostly due to AI and red bar skills. Hard Mode has forced select skills to be ridiculously powerful, though most of these skills only have so much power because of AoE and bad AI. This combination makes it so that skills in normal are too powerful and in hard mode AI is so bad that monsters need to be insanely powerful (partly the reason behind development of insanely powerful skills). Monsters are still too powerful in some cases (DoA). I don't know what to do about the PvE woes, but my best guess would be to create effective skills that force a more tactical thought process as opposed to dps.~>Sins WDBUser The Sins We Die By Sig.png 19:54, 13 October 2009 (UTC)
What Sin said. Also, as Goddess of Air, Avatar of Dwayna needs to deal lightning damage and/or 10% armor penetration. --Falconeye 07:07, 3 March 2010 (UTC)
Is this feedback outdated, or still relevent? --Falconeye 04:29, 26 March 2011 (UTC)
