Feedback talk:User/Jarak/Maximised Game Window

Seems like a simple enough idea to me, in theory. I don't know how such an idea would be implements or how taxing it would be to do, but with the way things are shaping up anymore, such an option would only better the game experience for players. If someones dumb enough to use that mode when not using two+ screens, then that is their fault. But by my understanding, does this windowed-maximized mode fill a screen, just not restrict the mouse to that screen? If so, then it wouldn't effect players that have only one screen (a simple code could check if the PC has two+ screens, and then make this mode available), and I say add it in. Wouldn't have to be a feature in release, but could perhaps be added in as a mechanics upgrade to the game.--Neithan DiniemUser Talk:Neithan Diniem 05:38, 13 December 2010 (UTC)

It is exactly that; the only other real difference (besides being able to move the mouse to the other screen) is you can click the 'windows' key and it will bring up the taskbar/start menu ontop of the fullscreen game window, without it minimising, allowing easier access to a web browser etc, so it can have some advantages on a single-monitor setup too.
A good example of a program working in this way is VLC media player playing a fullscreen video; clicking the 'windows' key opens the start menu above the video, even though it is fullscreen.
If it were possible as a mechanics upgrade, as you suggested, it would be great to see it work its way into the existing Guild Wars client aswell. Jarak 00:40, 15 December 2010 (UTC)
