Yes, please. --Ravencroft0 11:59, 8 March 2010 (UTC)

My bad. I love the idea of making the tengu a playable race, thus my statement ^^^. But I don't think that participation in PvP should be mandatory for story progression. Now if the Jade Sea or areas of the Echovald Forest were available as new maps for Pvp play, that would be pretty sweet. But not too many of them. Would the Silverwing Tengu keep open relations with Shing Jea Monastery? Master Togo and Talon Silverwing were friends, if one is to believe The Tengu Accords. --Ravencroft0 12:08, 8 March 2010 (UTC)

I agree with the race, but the PvP portion is a little too restrictive. Sure there could always be events that push the emperor's forces towards the Tengu lands, but I think separating the player base would be something that would lessen the game experience. Lets not create another Kurzick/Luxon alliance here.--Neithan DiniemUser Talk:Neithan Diniem 00:13, 29 May 2010 (UTC)
No, if they were to put tengus in Cantha, then the creators of Guild Wars 2 would have to make a crap-ass move and change the story. In cantha, non-humans are were driven out of the Canthan lands, (http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Cantha it says on the second section.) And besides, how would you get there? it says when Zhaitan awoke, he rose undead Corsairs and blocked access to Cantha. (http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Cantha it says in the first section.) --Eclipse143 7:34, 25 July 2010 (UTC)
Usoku might have enlisted the aid of the tengu in driving out the non-humans in exchange for a plot of land somewhere in the empire? The tengu who didn't go along with were either forced out of the empire, possibly into the Maguuma Jungle, or they were "dealt" with as all the other non-humanoids. All that did not agree with Usoku's dictates were exiled, which would include those who harbored ill will toward the tengu. Two hundred fifty years later is a lot of history within the GW universe, so who knows. The tengu may have been given the shaft by the canthans (much like the Native American tribes of the United States of America) and came under extreme prejudice by the empire. A tengu representative comes to Tyria to enlist the aid of heroes... and we can make our own speculations from there. There are a lot of ways the devs could incorporate the tengu as a playable race, and the idea of also incorporating an entirely new Cantha into the game might sound daunting. I believe that once the devs have figured out just exactly what they're going to do about GW2 as far as mechanics is concerned, dealing with Cantha will be much more of a breeze because they have a basic framework with which to work in the finished product of GW2. I'd imagine someone would have loads of fun with the costuming as well. --Ravencroft0 05:20, 26 July 2010 (UTC)
@Eclipse
Look, that's a wiki. Not only that, it's a wiki about lore in a video-game that hasn't come out yet, and the section you noted ::::had literally no sources, so that's not even confirmed by Arena-Net, so it wouldn't be "Changing the story" because frankly, the ::::story hasn't even been created yet.
@Ravencroft
That's some pretty interesting stuff-Sounds like some pretty good thinking that went into it.

Thanks. I'm a big fan of the tengu and Talon Silverwing is my favorite warrior henchman, by far. So, yes, I want the tengu to take a more up-front role in the game instead of always sitting in the backseat, if you get my meaning. For the record, I am a Caucasian American with Native American roots, Cherokee and Apache, respectively. Though I am so far removed from that heritage that I don't really consider it my own, I do respect it and the people, and I am not very proud of my country's dealings with the people who were here thousands of years before anyone else. We were all created and we are all of Creation. That is just my opinion, and I don't want to come across as sounding "anti-America". --Ravencroft0 09:17, 28 July 2010 (UTC)
