dunno about the rest of you, but i barely understood what he was saying. maybe try microsoft word's grammar check b4 posting. i got the general flow, but for the first change proposed i really cannot tell what he's suggesting, all i know is it has something to do with how exp is gained in pre. i don't mean to sound rude but.... yeah.67.171.230.252 02:22, 18 September 2009 (UTC)

It's a chinese translation. It's actually a lot better than most. ~Shard User Shard Sig Icon.png 02:23, 18 September 2009 (UTC)

Sorry for any mistake, my English is dad. I used a web translator. Ladislau 08:12, 18 September 2009 (UTC)Ladislau

I do like this suggestion. I liked pre but it's such a 'moment' part of the game. A quest-a-day or bonus exp system would actually inspire me to go for the title. ~~000.00.00.00~~ 08:24, 18 September 2009 (UTC)
Tl;dr: he wants LDoA to be easier to attain (or at least not require DL). His suggestion would make survivor in pre possible.--Fighterdoken 08:26, 18 September 2009 (UTC)
NO! NO!! NO!!! NO!!!! NO!!!!! NO!!!!!! NO!!!!!!! NEVER EVER IMPLEMENT THIS CHANGE..., this basically enables you to go for Survivor and LDoA on the same toon, WHICH SHOULD NEVER EVER BE ATTAINABLE, if you want LDoA, you HAVE to suck the Survivor Title. This intended change is not warrented, welcomed or needed. You can get LDoA by Death leveling in under 2 months. I will not endorse any change which will enable a toon to get both Survivor and LDoA. Anon-e-mouse 09:28, 18 September 2009 (UTC)
OK Anon-e-mouse you are right, but me too. Death leveling not a playform is a BOT FORM! But look at this! Need a plus modification for example, trap around nicolas u dead and necolas recurrect u (or u must go again from resurrect shrine but trap disarmed 2. time). For survivors (guild mates, 2. account or runners etc.) there is a disarm trap button and then u dont get exp and money reward, only gifts Ladislau 14:19, 18 September 2009 (UTC)Ladislau
I think what Ladislau is saying is that in order to get the xp from Nicholas, you'd have to die first (by traps) and then Nicholas would resurrect you. If you didn't want to die (going for survivor), you could disarm the traps via an implemented mechanic (like a switch), but doing so would prevent you from getting gold and xp from Nicholas that day. Thus maintaing the mutual exclusiveness of survivor and LDoA.
YES! YES!! YES!!! YES!!!! YES!!!!! YES!!!!!! YES!!!!!!! PLEASE IMPLEMENT THIS CHANGE!, just make survivor and LDoA mutually exclusive (as a game mechanic)! This intended change is warranted and wanted, although not needed, and would provide such a new dynamic to pre that would actually make staying in pre FUN! and would eliminate the grind of the most grindiest title in the game. I would endorse a change that would allow a toon to have both survivor and LDoA as I don't understand the necessity or importance of keeping these two titles separate, but because all current LDoA's cannot be survivors, these two titles should be kept mutually exclusive. ~Mervil User Mervil Sig.png 17:50, 18 September 2009 (UTC)
I think the real problem lies, not on the mutually exclusive Survivor and LDoA title, but the players that already got their title by Death Levelling. They will protest, because this made it "easier" to obtain the title, while they had to work the "hard way". --talk Large 20:43, 21 September 2009 (UTC)
I like the system proposed in the discussion maintaining LDoA and survivor mutually exclusive, in order to get xp you have to die first. It can be a quest, a new zone with enemies at lvl 17-20(just an example, I'm pretty sure Anet won't work on a new explorable area for presearing) or even a "presearing hard mode", but any of such things could be only accessible if your death count is different than 0.--Geoden 18:24, 24 September 2009 (UTC)

So why does it matter that they must be mutually exclusive?--98.238.169.189 18:56, 24 September 2009 (UTC)

because they always have been. If they suddenly make ti so you can get both titles, you'll get lots of people complaining. Personally i think the ideas good, but would say that these daily quests are limited to characters of a certain level (so you can only do them up to say level 19/20), simply so that you have to do some death leveling (to ensure that the title remains mutually exclusive with survivor) ~ PheNaxKian User PheNaxKian sig.jpg 19:10, 24 September 2009

I agree with the original suggestion, in that make the LDoA title attainable by grinding.

I have been playing for 50 months now and have 9 permanent pre-sear characters, over 3 accounts. The highest level of any of the characters is 18 and that was obviously gained by deathlevelling. Then one night my power supply went on fire, so I stopped.

I don't want to leave my pc running overnight for two months because: 1. It's expensive. The power bill obviously runs up a bit and in these current times I want to watch every penny. 2. It's dangerous. One fire a lifetime is enough. 3. Every other title in the game is grindable. Why can't this one be? 4. Most importantly, I want to have fun as I progress my characters.

There are various reasons why this is a good suggestion, obviously recognising the double title on the toon issue.

I don't agree so much with the suggestion of daily quests as this makes it too easy. But how about the bosses, and only the bosses, give 1xp each at player level 16+, and only if your death count is at least 1? That way it's attainable, but still a chore and you have fun actually playing the game doing it rather than being afk. I have 10,000xp to obtain to get to level 19. That means almost 2,500 runs. And then there is level 20 to go. (I stupidly accepted the quest rewards as soon as I started playing so have to D/L (or hopefully) grind all of level 10-20 too. As it stands, there is no way I am going to D/L that lot for the reasons listed above.

At present, I solo the charr in the northlands, as the only benefit to my being in there is the loot, and this makes for a poor gaming experience. Were the 1xp per boss to be brought in, I wouldn't mind taking other characters in there consistently as there is a benefit for me, the experience. This in turn will help develop friendships and re-introduce a little bit of "helping the newbies" which seems to be lacking in the game.

I think it's a minor change to make that will benefit a lot of people. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Cheeky Git (talk).
