I doubt that would be very useful. In HM, Burning Spirits have 56 arnor against cold damage, so that would be only 4 less than it would have against any of a mesmer's armor-ignoring spells. Koda User Koda Kumi UT.jpeg Kumi 22:30, 15 February 2010 (UTC)

All i'm saying is that this would open up more opportunities than the current version. It's simply just an idea i was having and it could be used by other casters as well, never expected this to be taken seriously anyway. Lou Wolfskin 01:27, 16 February 2010 (UTC)

I like it, but maybe add the effect to opposing elemental mantra?...loosing the defensive effect and energy gain wouldn't be worth it in my opinion.Shmo Kitup

So you would want this + the actuall effect right? Lou Wolfskin 00:27, 20 February 2010 (UTC)
Okay, how about this, Mantra of Flame again as the example: Mantra of Flame

5 Energy20 Recharge time Stance. For 10...34...40 seconds your spells deal fire damage, cold damage you take is reduced by 10...22...25%. You gain 1...2...2 Energy when taking cold damage.

I think this would maybe add a bit more, based upon what i know mantras are supposed to do: strengthen you against something while allowing you to harm it (mostly evil spirits or something like that) directly. The opposite would happen with Mantra of Frost while Earth and Air would be the other opposing pair. Lou Wolfskin 01:06, 20 February 2010 (UTC)
Yep, that looks good. Seems fair enough to right?Shmo Kitup

Yay, now I can run fire magic in fire resistant areas, I can also run water snares against ice mobs while dealing lots of damage /sarcasm. Pika Fan 07:49, 19 February 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for the comment? Lou Wolfskin 00:27, 20 February 2010 (UTC)
