Feedback talk:User/Macros/Remove required Heroes in Nightfall missions
I totally agree. --Taki Fujiko 23:01, 12 October 2009 (UTC)
I agree that the requirement is annoying and the required hero is usually cumbersome. This is especially true when the mission is the Zaishen mission of the day. It's an entire party slot wasted by the hero, makes it more difficult for some professions to get into groups (ex. Melonni is required, and you are a Dervish), and since it's usually done in hard mode, it makes the missions more difficult. I would love to see this fixed, but I doubt it will happen. - Agree~ As EoTN, let them show up in the cine is enough--TeaCat 07:54, 13 October 2009 (UTC)
I have different thoughts about this one. First the requirement could be only effective if one of the party member never did the mission. On the other side, noone forced you to exclude one of your teammates. Usually in my alliance if we are too many for one group we split in two groups. Finally the good point about this requirement is that it forces to look at your heroes, equip them, rune them, build them, etc. Agaetis Ros 23:57, 13 October 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah, I find the required heroes annoying as well, especially when I have to use a hero of a worthless class like a warrior or a ranger :P. But it allows the nightfall campaign to run linearly at the missions where you have to choose one hero over the other. If they could do something about those missions that made sense in terms of the storyline then I would like to see it done just like EotN, too. Where heroes are just there in the cinematics, even if they weren't in your party. I like to have my Ogden Stonehealer set as my healer hero, and Dunkoro as a smiter. So everytime I go back and do NF missions that require Dunkoro, I will have to rerune him or sacrifice one of my better heroes for a smiter. --MushaTalk 00:07, 15 October 2009 (UTC)
- I agree with Musha as the specific hero to allow the NF campaign to run linearly, so, Leave the heroes as is.MystiLefemEle 09:26, 21 October 2009 (UTC)
Response from Other Wiki User[edit]
Wouldn't' it be better to fix it so that IF all party members are players the Hero is not required to prevent things such as what happened to your guild member. Also if allies work like they do work like they do in EoTN they would effectively be a free extra NPC to Fight alongside you it would be more effective to me them simply follow and not fight like in previous sections of GW
- I think the idea was to prevent mission failure if the specific character died (Togo/Mhenlo anyone?) and to encourage people to upgrade their gear. But it would be nice if it got changed into the EotN self-ressing outside party style since the hero usually takes up one of the "less wanted professions' slot" in the party. - Ander01 15:53, 5 March 2011 (UTC)
