I would definately like to see most, if not all, of those features work their way into the game; having markers showing your friends' postions is very useful, I'm not sure how many times I've been asked by a friend for help on an MMO, only to have them say they don't know where they are, followed by a game of charades to try and figure out their location. Adding the friend markers would ease things a lot, as would guild/alliance markers... On the topic of guild/alliance markers, what about (as an officer or Guild leader) being able to place a single marker visible to members of your alliance, similar to a message of the day almost, to indicate guild/Alliance events and such ? - Jarak 23:32, 16 December 2010 (UTC)

Interesting, So just as guild officers/leaders can give their guild announcement out to the whole guild, your suggesting that they also be able to send out an alliance-wide marker? That's... Bloody Brilliant! Alliance markers, or perchance Alert markers, could be titled with the guild they are from, as well as a short message to be displayed when the mark is selected. Such a feature could easily let alliance co-ordinate during holidays (like Wintersday, which is upon us now), events (Summoning the masses to join in, creating fantastical battles), or whatever the guilds wish to meet up for. Perchance... A second "guild announcement" type feature could be introduced so that when such a message is written, a coordinate box would require an input. Type in the location and save... Bam! A new marker could be sent out to all the alliance members. And to ensure they see the marker in a timely fashion, a new little alert could be sent to the player's text boxes (or some other way... my minds still thinking...) to alert them of the new mark. Brilliant! I'm going to add that into the suggestion now, and make certain you get credit for its addition. ^^--Neithan DiniemUser Talk:Neithan Diniem 00:02, 17 December 2010 (UTC)

I didnt read all of this (mainly cus im lazy and half asleep atm) but I love the sound of being able to snyc the compass or map or whatever to a single player in the party. Would help co-ordination between teammates and all that jazz. Not sure if it was implied or explicitly mentioned in your suggestion, but it would be cool if, once the compass/map was pinged for a sync, you could then have a button on the side of the compass/map (or even a hotkey) to switch between the other players map and your own. That way, if you get annoyed at not being able to see what you wanted to see, you could switch back to your map, then, when you want to go back to the other players map, you can press the button again to see it. Otherwise you may end up having to ask your teammate to re-ping his map. --Jimmer123 19:07, 6 January 2011 (UTC)

So instead of always needing a map ping to share your compass view, you could instead have a button that once clicked, automatically switches to that party member's compass view? Interesting. That would make map pings be something to bring attention to that person's view, however still allow for its viewing at any time.--Neithan DiniemUser Talk:Neithan Diniem 19:37, 6 January 2011 (UTC)

I think this is a great idea! See if you can get your friends to sign away their rights to their ideas to ANet so it has a chance of actually being implemented. --Silverdawn 10:26, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
