Dynamic Events will replace quests. So, they will be repeatable and will award players, which is cool. They will also change the world and be based on cause-effect, which is awesome! I doubt dynamic events will completely replace quests. There is so much hype that I don't take everything super seriously. So if there are some quests, I think they should be repeatable. Previously Unsigned 21:02, 16 July 2010 (UTC)
i agree, but the problem with being able to repeat hypothetical quests like this is that it gives a way to grind and farm way too easily. You could just find an easy but reasonably rewarding and repeatable quest and just do it over and over again. Now, some people woukd probably like that. Fair enough, i do see the appeal, but it draws away from playing the actual game. And besides which, to do this the quests would have to be instanced. Not gonna happen since you personal story isnt (at least i wouldnt have thought so) going to be repeatable. --Jimmer123 21:43, 16 July 2010 (UTC)
That's why Previously Unsigned proposed that the quests didn't give you a reward, only what the foes dropped. Yes, the personal storyline won't be repeatable (I also read that interview, don't worry ;) ), and I kind of like it that way, it's more "realistic". I was just refering to Dynamic Events, hence the "repeatable" part (since they are cyclic). I don't know if Dynamic Events will completely replace the ordinary quests but, to be honest, I hope so. so they did, i mustve skipped that part about the farming thing haha. I guess it would be kinda cool for a feature like this to be in the game, but maybe to be aquired near the end game, or as additional content in a future update like the historical story thingies. --Jimmer123 22:00, 16 July 2010 (UTC)
Well all dynamic events are repeatable, they simply need to reset and be triggered to happen again. The events will be different at times however depending upon other events happening in the area. Other events may alter, hinder, or completely change how a particular event plays out, making it almost like a completely new event.--Neithan DiniemUser Talk:Neithan Diniem 20:25, 18 July 2010 (UTC)
