  • No. This is exactly the skill people will abuse on smitebars and monkballs. Yeen 19:01, 11 May 2010 (UTC)
I can probably see the same issue depending on how you intend the mechanics of this skill work:
  • The enchantment grants +0..4..5 energy. The energy is removed when the enchantment ends, and the enchantment ends if damage is dealt. I don't think it would be worth an elite, though it's an interesting idea, kind of like an inverse Signet of Recall.
  • The casting of the enchantment grants +0..4..5 energy. If the enchanted deals damage, the enchantment ends early and the energy is removed. This I could see being worth an elite, though I'm not sure how much it might be used; maybe on a support smiter.
Either way, do you intend for this to include life stealing as well as damage? I think it should. --Kyoshi User Kyoshi sig.png (Talk) 19:16, 11 May 2010 (UTC)
It's the latter (energy is only removed if the ally deals damage in those 12 seconds). And it should also include lifesteal. User Raine R.gif is for Raine, etc. 19:25, 11 May 2010 (UTC)
Then I'm not sure how "smitebars" would be able to abuse it. (I don't remember what I thought Yeen was referring to in the first place, either, admittedly.) It's temporary energy, and would just essentially disable you for longer if you used it to get out of a hole. --Kyoshi User Kyoshi sig.png (Talk) 21:53, 11 May 2010 (UTC)
Oh, I remember. I think the implication was that a ball of monks would use it on each other all at once, giving them each 5 energy because they didn't deal damage but the enchantment is essentially stacked. --Kyoshi User Kyoshi sig.png (Talk) 00:44, 12 May 2010 (UTC)
It's "gain energy", not "have +x energy"; they keep the energy as long as they don't deal damage in those 12 seconds. User Raine R.gif is for Raine, etc. 22:21, 12 May 2010 (UTC)
My point is that if it isn't going to be used in gimmicks its very very unlikely to be used in balanced builds. And buffing it will just make it OP Yeen 14:00, 12 May 2010 (UTC)
It's 5 energy every 8 seconds; that's like 2 extra pips. It would be decent in balanced builds, too. User Raine R.gif is for Raine, etc. 22:21, 12 May 2010 (UTC)
Even less if it's cast on a damage player; at best it would be a jump for an Assassin to push a kill, after which they'd have to wait back longer. Best if used on backliners, and even there pretty balanced. --Kyoshi User Kyoshi sig.png (Talk) 00:03, 13 May 2010 (UTC)
And how many bars don't need to deal damage ? Mesmer,Monk and euhm ? Why waste a slot on E-management anyway ? Yeen 08:22, 13 May 2010 (UTC)
It's target other. You could put it on a support smite monk and cast it on the healers on recharge. Kind of odd to me that you jumped from arguing that this would be abused to arguing that this is bad. --Kyoshi User Kyoshi sig.png (Talk) 02:28, 14 May 2010 (UTC)
