Feedback talk:User/Sahana/Pre-launch Character Creation
Interesting idea[edit]
This would be a good marketing tool, even if ANet doesn't allow folks to save the results. It's a sort of natural successor to the Hall of Monuments Calculator: the HoM/RC allows you to see your past achievements; a Pre-launch character tool allows you to start planning your future ones. – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 20:38, 20 December 2011 (UTC)
Brilliant idea, great marketing tool, and backs up everything anet have said they wanted the game to achieve so we can just jump in and play. Personally I will probably spend like an hour making my charachter firstly because I intend to make it perfect if I will sink hundreds of hours into it, and secondly because I'm retarded and will probably f--k up declaring my ancestry or something. All in all great idea.212.139.253.161 21:47, 18 February 2012 (UTC)
I also really like this idea, more for the anticipation and ability to jump right in at launch than anything else. Helyanwe 20:09, 6 March 2012 (UTC)
- Thumbs up, and since pre-purchase and probably pre-order players will participate the head start, we can safely say we will somehow benefit from early character creation. Yet I would be even more glad to get the ability to save template codes for characters' appearances during early preview weekends (a copy/paste/load would do, a save feature would be great).
- Not only to just have to do some minor adjustements at release for each of them, but also maybe to participate in some friendly community challenges about making faces. ^^ -- Leonim [talk·contribs] 01:06, 11 April 2012 (UTC)
I completely support this idea! I joined just to say that. --Sesuko 17:37, 15 June 2012 (UTC)
+1 Great idea! Adhyron 17:39, 11 August 2012 (UTC)
- Hmm, i maked screens of each step for my charaktercreation :D I can create my charakters in a minute, only looking for changes (i have to move in the opposite direction for my heads high now, my charakters head changed in a funny way between stresstest and bwe3 ;). After the only real uses are to reduce the time before getting into gw2 and increasing the chance to get the name, i dont see any use for Anet to do so.
