This is unpractical for the GW1 programming team, but it is an excellent idea nonetheless. ~Shard User Shard Sig Icon.png 07:14, 6 January 2010 (UTC)

this isnt impractical, they have it for PvP in GW1 and that works quite well

I really like this idea. Carrying multiple weapon sets is indeed a hassle. Perhaps, for a small cost, a weaponsmith NPC can forge you the modified weapon. Although this is much less convenient than what you proposed, I think it's a more realistic solution. --Arngrim 09:14, 6 January 2010 (UTC)

I vote no. It's not in the spirit of the game. The whole point is that if you want to have something good for killing plants and water djinns then you have to have two different sets of weapons. If you can't afford both, then get a cheaper one that's semi-good for killing both types of monsters. Otherwise there would be just one weapon you would keep using over and over. And that sucks. I love the equipment packs, that is nice. On my Warrior I have a sword and shield for every species slaying mod out there. I have the weapon sets customized and before I go in battle i just switch the sets. That's how it's supposed to be. In fact, that's really cool, trying to find weapons that are related to what damage they do. I have a Dead sword for killing undead, a fiery gladius for plants, and a destroyer sword for general use. We want our characters to use our weapons, we don't want our weapons to use our characters. You're suggesting we ignore strategy in favor of a Swiss-Army knife. That's ridiculous. That's what games like WoW do. They give you all of the options you could possibly possess readily available at any time. No. Guild Wars is about thought. It's about strategy. It's about preparing for what you need, when you need it. It is not about having a magic do-all button. Omnipotence is impotence, universal. Teddy Dan, yo. 09:06, 30 November 2010 (UTC)
