you dont play mqsc much do you? timmyderselts 00:49, 3 March 2011 (UTC)
MQSC is not playing and does not involve monking. –~=Ϛρѧякγ AHHH! (τѧιк) ←♥– 00:57, 3 March 2011 (UTC)

MQsc relies heavly on monking and thier are run for it evry day and night, are we talking about the same run? timmyderselts 01:03, 3 March 2011 (UTC)

Monking doesnt mean that you're using the monk profession. It means you're, y'know, actually playing the monk how it was intended to be played. 98.207.35.105 01:11, 3 March 2011 (UTC)
The role monks take in MQSC just happen to be because Monks have the ability to tank and deal damage with protective spells at the same time; it's no more than tank and spanking though - and that does not constitute monking whatsoever.
As for the suggestion, I think 2 and 4 would be used, but 2 might be somewhat abuse-prone (think pre-nerf Balthazar's Pendulum). I don't think 1,3, or 5, though balanced, would be equipped, honestly, either because of being underpowered in the first's case and the balance-drawbacks for 3 and 5 making these undesirable (think of why Mark of Protection hasn't much been seen outside of gimmicks, like Doomspike). You're on the right track though, in my opinion. -- Oiseau | User Oiseau Melandru.jpg 01:18, 3 March 2011 (UTC)
Thank you for your feedback. :D I see what you mean about 2, that could use some changing. For 1, I was thinking a kind of Empathy on anyone attacking the target, but I made sure to make it pretty weak (maybe too much so). 3 and 5 are kinda strong (Mark of Protection has too long of a recharge and casting time), so I wanted to make sure they could only be used by smiting monks in a small attempt to make smiters viable. –~=Ϛρѧякγ AHHH! Of course, sir. In my opinion, a skill is more likely to be utilized if it has a conditional effect which makes it more effective in the situations it was designed for and weaker outside of those situations, like the ever-enduring WoH. :) -- Oiseau | User Oiseau Melandru.jpg 01:45, 3 March 2011 (UTC)
This is true. I'd like to think that the conditional effect is if the target is attacked, but really I'd assume most allies you'd want to target will be getting attacked or about to be attacked. Though, you could say this would be more of a reactionary skill (not counting 3) that is only really useful if used at the right time on the right person. –~=Ϛρѧякγ AHHH! That's fair, I think. That the skill would go to waste without an attack proc'ing seems enough, 2 seems like it could find a place on a support smiter's bar, though I'm unfamiliar with that particular build. -- Oiseau | User Oiseau Melandru.jpg 02:13, 3 March 2011 (UTC)
