Does somebody play Yu-Gi-Oh!? Sounds like Side Deck. Previously Unsigned 03:40, 27 May 2010 (UTC)

Did you know that every TCG is just a rip-off of Magic: the Gathering? User Felix Omni Signature.pngelix Omni 03:59, 27 May 2010 (UTC)
No, I've never played Yu-Gi-Oh, but I have played MtG and the "rock lobster to your scissors lizard" is a reference to it. :P -~=Ϛρѧякγ User Sparky, the Tainted guided sig.png (τѧιк) 12:31, 27 May 2010 (UTC)
I heard them compared before, but I didn't really get into it. I tried some of MTG but didn't like it as much. Previously Unsigned 14:21, 27 May 2010 (UTC)

This guy is right. but it should only happen in like long battles, if your going for a 5 minute battle you dont want to spend 10% of it not even in the arena.

Complications[edit]

Well, first off: in WvW we have been told that you can jump in/jump out at any time, meaning you can completely switch out your build at any time you wish. a sideboard option there would be wasted and unnecessary. Secondly, normal PvP matches Id estimate that the general majority of the battles would either have a time limit on them just like how current battles have, or they would just not last that long. They aren't meant to be epic struggles of supreme powers, their meant to be skirmishes between a one small group and another. Also, by the sounds of it, most skills are quite flexible when mixed with how they are used, so I'd have little worry about it being too boorish or long. Someones bound to slip up and fall to the victor.--Neithan DiniemUser Talk:Neithan Diniem 02:20, 6 December 2010 (UTC)

The first sentence of my suggestion says that it does not apply to WvW. Structured PvP is not about short skirmishes, it's about two five-man teams fighting in as skill-based a battle as possible. Both two-of-three formats and chances to adapt help to remove luck and gimmicks from games. Skills may be flexible, but if you're battling a _____ gimmick team with only mild _____ control, you will not be able to magically turn your support skills into anti-_____ skills. –~=Ϛρѧякγ AHHH!
