"fairly unused"? Erm, this is a staple component of ranger spike/bow dps/etc builds, which still see some play both in PvE and PvP. Vili 点 10:50, 26 September 2009 (UTC)
- sorry that fairly unused thing is practically a copy paste message ^_^ -Talamare- feedback 10:55, 26 September 2009 (UTC)
- Oh wait, this is Melandru's Arrows. Sorry. I read "Glass Arrows". Nevermind. Vili 点 11:01, 26 September 2009 (UTC)
- lol, well either way what do you think of the suggestions -Talamare- feedback 11:05, 26 September 2009 (UTC)
- +1 on suggestion 2. Running this with Poison Tip Signet and another damaging bow attack will be an awesome setup. Shayne Hawke 14:50, 26 September 2009 (UTC)
- 1 and 3 would not be very good compared to Crippling Shot for spreading cripple, or even Melandru's Shot for harassing a single kiting target...the problem with 1 is that even though Rangers have excellent energy management, the energy loss is not mitigated by expertise - basically it's like using a 10e attack skill on every attack, which will drain you pretty fast, especially since this is in Wilderness Survival so you have your points spread more thinly than usual. (Of course, you could take "just" Expertise and Wilderness Survival, to spam cripple, but there are more effective ways than that such as Grenth's Grasp. Suggestion 3 would pretty much force this, since you'd lose spike and pressure ability. If you are going to do that sort of build you might as well take Choking Gas + Practiced Stance + Flurry...)
- Suggestion 2 could be pretty powerful in PvP. Hitting a moving foe with a ranged attack isn't that difficult, and you could easily keep a single foe permanently crippled. On the other hand, it costs as much as Apply Poison, but doens't cause any degen or bonus damage, so in a way you are still sort of limited to how much of a damage threat you are. It would be pretty useless in PvE for that reason. Also, the "Melandru" part of the skill means that it does something which has bonus effects towards enchanted foes, but there is nothing like that in the proposed changes. - They did demonstrate that they don't care about Melandru-themes anymore. -~=Sparky (talk) 16:32, 26 September 2009 (UTC)
- ever since the "incoming" change I doubt names matter as much, and this is similar to mel shot so its close enough... As far as losing 2 energy on the first one (you only need 8 wilderness which is easily done with a bow12/exp8+1/wild8+1 attribute spec which hits the break point for 10e things to become 6e... losing 2 energy is about the same as using a 5e attack with 13 expertise... tho I raised the snare duration on them, and reduced the penalty on suggestion 3 -Talamare- feedback 00:11, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
- The 1st and 3rd are underpowered, the 2nd is overpowered. Rypofalem 01:09, 27 September 2009 (UTC)

Dislike all of them. You are changing a fine skill into a preparation that applies Cripple, an active condition. It just doesn't fit. All of them also have extremely weird conditionals and downsides. Highly aesthetically unpleasing. I would just leave this skill as is and hit Barbed Arrows slightly. Dark Morphon 11:16, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
