Healing is a reactive line of spells, while Protection is proactive. Personally I feel the current function suits it better. Bathory talk 06:06, 26 September 2009 (UTC)
- Unfortunately, the current Supportive Spirit sees absolutely zero usage anywhere (outside of idiotic Ntouka who use it to heal with divine favor bonus), so I'd have to say that almost any change is for the better. This change is a pretty nice one that could definitely see some play, even in PvE. Vili 点 06:54, 26 September 2009 (UTC)
- I used to use it in TA to counter SmiteSpike. It worked well, actually. And my probably with this suggestion isn't the idea behind the change. It's just that it's no longer reactive, but proactive. You have to put it on before the heal. Thematically, this makes it a Protection Prayers skill. Even if it would be kept in Healing Prayers, I just don't like changing attributes for convenience or popularity. Bathory talk 07:02, 26 September 2009 (UTC)
- Healing prayers has proactive heals - Healing Hands, Supportive Spirit(current one is technically proactive), Healing Seed, Dwayna's Sorrow, Vigorous Spirit, Live Vicariously, Patient Spirit... and as far as stopping shove spike, it cant self cast and duration = recharge, so you can only keep it on 1 person... (shove spike will likely use shove on 1 target which you would probably prevent with this, then grapple spike a 2nd while this recharges) -Talamare- feedback 10:19, 26 September 2009 (UTC)
- You cast them proactive, but their triggers are reactive. The damage has to be placed or they do nothing. You can cast it in the middle of someone wailing on you and it works just as well. Proactive skills don't. If you don't get Protective Spirit up until halfway through a spike, you've wasted Protective Spirit. And this skill's duration is longer than it's recharge, it's maintainable on two people and can be cast on yourself... I was talking about the current skill. I used the current skill. In a build. To kill off SmiteSpike. And it worked. What don't you get about this? Bathory talk 04:15, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
- TA will die soon with shove spike, so It barely matters... and not balancing a skill because 1 person uses it to counter 1 build isnt much reason -Talamare- feedback 11:16, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
- I never see ShoveSpike anymore, and when I do it typically loses. And your suggestion isn't a balance, it's a functionality change that doesn't suit the attribute you left it in. Bathory talk 16:47, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
- doesnt suit the attribute? Are you saying the proactive/reactive argument again? -Talamare- feedback 17:30, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
