I guess I'll start it off. Hiya Tash! I am a little concerned with the unanswered questions, but I think, on web-paper, I see potential for this idea. As you hinted at, would it keep the armor dyed? Also, what of upgrades installed on the armor? Would you lose them? If I can play economic analyst for just a minute, I think having an NPC that can store your collection of armor could alter the market for equipment packs and possibly even affect the NCsoft store (specifically the Xunlai storage pane sales). These aren't cheap by any means, but for an armor enthusiast, I think there should come at least some cost. I am on the fence with this one, I think it will depend on exact details. I had thought about the equipment packs, and I don't think that would be a real loss. The packs would hold your 'active' armour, the ones you have runed and prepared for different builds. The armourer would have blank, undyed armour, which you'd hold for prestige (probably pay 100 gold per piece to 'copy' and get back) and to show off to people. I've found it very easy to fill up my extra slots in my storage (especially with multiple characters), so I don't see this causing any problems there, either. Thanks for answering though, and hi! Yeah, this would be very nice, but they gave us the equipment packs to serve that very purpose. That's why the equipment packs only hold weapons and items customized to your character (armor). But, I agree, I wish they had done a festival hat-type NPC for armor. --MushaUser Musha Sigc.pngTalk 21:41, 27 October 2009 (UTC)
The equipment packs were a nice idea, but consider how difficult it is to actually get more than the very basic equipment pack for a casual gamer. I had (until recently) three suits of armour, and plan to pick up some more Elite suits. I don't have the equipment pack space to carry them, so... At least, with an armour smith, we'd have something to work with.  :) You'd keep the Equipment Packs for those armour pieces you've runed and insignia'd, for different builds. Equipment packs are, indeed, completely impossible for most players to obtain. And, while I support the expansion of the guild halls greatly, having an armorsmith in the Guild Halls would not be feasible. Armor is far too campaign-specific. Additionally, I recall it being stated by the devs (maybe Lindsey) that Armor is far too variable for them to store-recapture like festival hats or other items that go into books. --Emkyooess 14:16, 31 October 2009 (UTC)
Or perhaps the armor smith creates a costume of the armor set and stores that. A blank costume version of an armor set. Can't install runes or insignias but can dye, and put it in the costume slot of the character. Voila, you have that set displayed instead of the current armor set and it maintains the runes and insignias of the actual armor you're wearing. As for the equipment packs being for that purpose, I must agree that I don't have the time or money to invest in working up to the higher inventory slots for each of my characters. I see the benefit to doing so but 10 ZGC's is way too expensive for me. -- Rivendahl 01:29, 1 February 2010 (UTC)
