About ectos price and other costly things[edit]
A strongly restrictive price-cap regulation on rare & demanded materials would indicate that anet intend to widen the range of players who get access to prestige stuff, wich would be a contradiction. On another hand, people who accumulated rare materials and keep it as a currency are not given any opportunity by anet to inject it back into the economy by investing on a regular basis (at least, for 2k+ materials). This is being adressed with players ability to craft in GW2, wich, again, is just not yet there... But even like that, it will continue to fail if investments contribute to get more money instead of aquiring stuff that you cant sell back. Yseron - 90.14.230.236 20:47, 29 December 2009 (UTC)
- I'm not saying there should be a Price cap. I'm saying that if Speed Clears do it often, the prices will go down. If they take longer to do it, then it takes longer to get the Ectos (assuming they don't fail) then the price rises because of it's demand in comparison with it's supply (from people). Then, since the Skeletons would be taken out, people can farm them through various other builds. W/Rt, Mo/Me, N/Mo, etc. They won't finish the Underworld, but they can still farm out some ectos, which (hopefully) balances out the supply and demand qualm we have. - It was just a note. Yseron - 86.209.71.251 23:21, 29 December 2009 (UTC)
