I like its new behaviour in PvP - Shutdown for essential Mesmer skills -> rupt. It's fast... and it also shutdown Melee cracked for higher damage vs melee also weakness for 66% damage reduce. --Kali Shin Shivara 17:52, 22 January 2012 (UTC)

Sure, it can be effective against melee. But if an ele wants to be effective against melee, they will bring blinding surge, obviously. The old thunderclap gave eles the ability to be a great threat to casters without investing in things like illusion magic. The Slayer 19:10, 24 January 2012 (UTC)
