Smart usage of conditional effects is what makes good players good - there is no reason to dumb down the game -Talamare- feedback 02:14, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
- Smite Hex is something that doesn't need to be changed. And having a 1 on basic Hex Removals is kind of...necessary. Bathory talk 04:31, 23 December 2009 (UTC)
- Every hex removal skill is underpowered. However, this change is not going to do anything about that. Koda Kumi 22:22, 23 December 2009 (UTC)
- I'd rather say many Hexes are overpowered. Things like Holy Veil are fine when it comes to countering Water Magic hexes and stuff like Diversion but Monks get in trouble when Hex stacking arises. You could increase the power of Hex removal but that will probably mean the dead of casual hexing as seen with now fine ways. On top of that, it leads to power creep. An approach I recommend is to rework the problematic Hexes instead to be more like the casual ones (as I have been trying to do). Dark Morphon 16:54, 24 December 2009 (UTC)
- I don't really think there's anything you can do against skill choice. No one would have the opinion that Hex removal is under-powered and Hexes were over-powered if people only brought Hexes and Hex Removal. But as it is, regular Hex bars will have at least 4 or 5 Hexes, while at most monks will carry ~2 Hex Removals, the majority of which only remove 1 Hex. It's just the nature of monking that you have to prepare for everything, so you end up under-prepared for everything. Reducing the recharge of Hex removals would just make it easier to remove more Hexes, forcing monks to consider who they're removing from and what they're removing less - and taking a little skill out of playing monk. - I find it very hard to distillate the point you have been trying to make from above post. Could you explain it to me in one sentence? Dark Morphon 16:56, 25 December 2009 (UTC)
- People who run Hexes bring more Hexes than healers bring Hex Removal. =\ Doesn't mean they're under-powered. You're right about trying to fix it from the Hex end, Morphon. Changing Hex Removals that are standard (This, Remove Hex, Cure Hex etc.) isn't going to fix much. Bathory talk 18:36, 25 December 2009 (UTC)
- Ah, you were backing up my point then. I already thought so, just wanted to make sure. The indent made it seem like you were making objections to what I said, which was in conflict with what you actually said. Thanks for clarifying. Dark Morphon 11:11, 26 December 2009 (UTC)
