Some suggestions for profession specific stomps:

Warrior:

Big wind up with weapon during channel with an impact effect when it completes maybe even lines up and gets feet planted first.
Gives a bestial roar and curb stomps his victim

Guardian:

Raises weapon in the air and it gets infused with some glowy blue Guaridan-y energy and he smacks his opponent down.
gathers his focus and shoots a large one of those blue beam things at them point blank

Ranger:

Similar to Warrior but maybe draws his bow on them point blank.
Toots on his warhorn and a swarm of birds comes to peck his foe to de(featedness?)ath

Engineer:

Takes out a wrench, tosses it in the air and smacks them with it.
Brings up his flamethrower and gives them a final roasting
Puts an explosive device on the end of his rifle and takes aim and fires it at his victim

Thief:

Kneels down and does an Ezio style RIP stab to the heart.
Takes the time to carefully aim their pistol at the head of their victim

Mesmer:

Places hand over head of victim with pink glowing light emanating from it, slowly gets brighter before
culminating in the a shatter effect on the body of the victim.

Elementalist:

channels summoning a small meteor to drop on their head.
continuously engulfs the victim in water
channels shaking ground beneath victim before a spiky rock comes up through them
goes all evil emperor on someone with some lightning

Necromancer:

starts soaking life force from the victim
engulfs victim in shadows while hands grasp at them form the darkness, or two hands come up slowly
before quickly grabbing the victim and dissipating at the end of the channel

Stomp as the only finishing mechanic, but more variances indeed[edit]

More finishing moves is something sweet and not only cosmetic (as PvP should not feel repetitive), especially the idea of getting some variance within a profession.

My personal view is that stomp shoudl stay the only quick way to finish an opponent, and that "getting out of your way" to go finish them is a tactical choice... especially when you know that left alone, they may be able to rally/recover themselves. It had to the game as is. -- User Leonim Sig.jpg Leonim [talk·contribs] 18:01, 10 April 2012 (UTC)
