PvE Content[edit]

Since the festivals are PvE content, I think it's pretty cool that PvP characters get to do the minigames. If you want to reap the rewards of PvE content, create a PvE character. Most PvP players I know delete and remake their PvP characters all the time. Having one slot on your account dedicated to a PvE charcter shouldn't be that tough. Besides, there is a lot more to Festivals and in game events than just the Finales. Not to be argumentative, but where exactly does it say that festivals are PvE content? If that were true, why are PvP-only characters allowed to participate in some festival events? My reasoning is that since PvP-only characters are allowed to participate in SOME festival events, they should be allowed to aprtiticape in ALL festival events that do not require you to enter an explorable area and/or fight monsters. In fact the merchants in the outposts that would be made accessible would benefit PvP-only characters without a Guild. The outposts mentioned have certain merchants that only full Guild Halls have. Why should a PvP-only player have access to a Dye Trader in their Guild Hall, but only if they're in a guild? They even added a merchant NPC to the Great Temple of Balthazar. This idea would enable access to more merchants for PvP-only players who are without a Guild or full Guild Hall. Access to some or all merchants could also be restricted in the outposts. Again, access to the outposts themselves could even be restricted to the time period in which a festival occurs. Ziggurat 03:03, 27 October 2009 (UTC)

How about the PvP areas get decorated, and we call it even? Kamadan is accessible in all of 15 minutes, by the way. In my opinion, this is giving PvP more perks of PvE, without returning anything. What has PvP ever done for PvE, other than mess up Factions? I'm sorry, but, this is like a bunch of uninvited guests showing up to our party, without bringing anything. Festivals ARE PvE content. Why so sure? Because PvP characters can't go there. That may seem a poor explanation. But, by definition, PvP characters are characters that can't enter PvE areas, excepting those in the Battle Isles. That's why they can go to the Faction outposts, but receive a warning if they want to leave through the door. They can't go beyond that door, because beyond that door is PvE. It's not like you can't make a PvE character, and you can always buy more slots, I doubt anyone should need more than 20 PvP-only characters (1 per profession and gender), you still have 16 lots left. GW is paid 'per content'. You want to go to DEcorated Shing Jea, which is part of the Factions campaign, you have to pay for the Factions campaign, much like you don't get to see Kisu's eyebrows at the Day of the Dragon when you only have Prophecies. In the same line, they can enter minigames because minigames are PvP. It's just the design of the type of character. Is one of those things you don't change, like the number of equipable skills (8) or the particular atributes/general skills system (as opposed to generic attributes/particular skills in most other games).
