RAF is a guild formed by Patrick Wyatt & friends somewhere around the middle of 2004 for the purpose of improving and fixing Guild Wars content. Most of its original members, such as John Zipperer, CS Lim, Brandon Dillon, Jim Scott and Eric Anderson have directly contributed to the development of networking and engine infrastructure of the game. Another its member, Chris Chung, directed ArenaNet's Marketing & Business Development as well. One of the latest, year 2014 guild's contributions is reflected in the September 25th update.
Membership[edit]
As you might have guessed, in order to earn yourself a place in our team, you have to share its willingness to keep making Guild Wars an interesting, enjoyable place. So basically, the folks we're looking for should be quite familiar with trends and techniques of gaming industry, be it in programming, artwork, voice-acting or game design. Actually, it can be pretty much anything which makes you truly understand the specifics of polishing the game, you may be an experienced Wiki editor and writer, for example. Here in RAF, it's valued much more than any time-invested in-game achievements. It's nice if you've got some of those, but isn't a thing everyone here is ought to have, in contrast with being prudent, friendly and interesting to communicate with person - a set of qualities we definitely expect from all of our members, even in the heat of Heroes' Ascent environment, which we consider our home-sweet-home. Perhaps you do so also, and are familiar with some of the classical table games such as Magic: The Gathering, from where the core skills system of Guild Wars originates? Then please let us know, and may be, we'll forge something together, be it a new team build or a fresh PvP-enhancing concept...
