The Legends of the Nightfaith

Legends say that the Melanktion God of War: Silzar, forged the Nightfaith in the war against the Old Gods. The sword was lost for several hundred years when the Melanktion gods lost against the Old gods, but was then found by Melankash explorers who were traveling the ruins of Orr. It was brought back to New Melank where it had been protected ever since. However, during a raid by Canthan forces, some soldiers raided the tomb and stole the Nightfaith. It was brought to Raisu Palace and Emperor Kisu. Several weeks later, a team of Melankash elite soldiers led by Haru Amara broke into the palace and retrieved the Divine Blade. As they looked down upon it when they escaped, they saw that the Nightfaith rippled with energy. Despite warnings from the soldiers, Haru took the blade by the hilt and then felt the full power of the Nightfaith. Little did he know, that no mortal can hold the Nightfaith properly and not be corrupted by its energy. Haru: addicted to his new power, shadow stepped to escape and vanished from trace. Now, the Melankash must hunt him down and exterminate him so he can be of no harm to anyone. Also, the Canthans are tracking him down because of his trespassing on imperial territory. News has leaked back to Lavia Amara and she has decided to chase him down to slap him back to sanity. Haru however, with the power of a godly weapon in his grip, has a few tricks up his sleeve...

Powers

The Nightfaith has many powers to offer for those who are either foolish or brave enough to hold it by the hilt. Archivists of New Melank have recorded them on secured 'test subjects'.

  • Increased strength
  • Inceased intelligence
  • Increased aggressiveness
  • Increased speed
  • Increased fighting prowess

If the mortal wields the Nightfaith for too long, then they become mad with corruption and godly power.

The only way to see if someone is in the process of being corrupted by the Nightfaith is if they hold it constantly and their cornea and iris are going black and the pupil is turning white.

Haru is his corrupted form wielding the Nightfaith.
