History:

August 17th 2006, guild formed by Lord of Spear.

16th October 2007, The Legionanire And K I L L Z O N E Guild, Merged to form one large Guild to better both Guilds. Lord Of Spear is Leader. Cape, Hall and Initials, Change to K I L L Z O N E

3rd November 2007, After much time travelling, James decided it was time to go back to LG, and so, we unmerged with K I L L Z O N E and are now back to LG. WELCOME HOME!

13th May 2008, guild is gifted to Lady Grovesy.

15th October 2008, After about 6 months away from Guild Wars, Lady Grovesy begins to rebuild the Guild.

25th June 2009, leadership is passed to Ayna Atreides by Keia Hossle, who was auto-designated guild leader when Lady Grovesy became innactive.

29th June 2009, Last of guild hall services is purchased, giving The Legionanire a full hall. Isle changed to Weeping Stone, and cape changed to commemorate the occasion.

Inspiration:

Note: The following is currently being held for historic reasons. Will be updated later. To build a guild where the actual leadership of the guild is NOT static but can change and would be attainable by all players. The top ranking members would control the guild structure and rank progression, middle ranking members control in-game guild direction, and the lowest ranking members would be the military and social core of the guild.

This guild will find its inspiration from the Roman Republic. In the Roman Republic leadership was divided between the Senate and the Assembles. The Senate was an advisory body and the Assembles was where laws were passed. Roman Republic had a civilian military that was lead initially by the Consuls. But as the Republic conquered more lands it was necessary to have the office of Dictator. In times of desperate need the Dictator would take absolute control over the Republic. The Senate were the ones that declared the Dictator and gave him Imperium.

Recruitment

The Legionanire would be located on a US server and is open to all English speaking players.

All members must show maturity and respect to Imperium members and to other GW players.

Any money needed by the guild would be raised by fundraising.

Members are asked to participate as much as possible in guild activities and events (as life would allow). Participation would directly effect your rank.

No cheating (like paying real money for in game items or wealth)

Ranks

Family

Patrician - This is a member of the elite ruling family. This rank is more honorary but it may have some privileges. A player needs to be a Patrician before that player can be a Senator. This rank would give you access to Titles of Equestrian (Knight), Diplomat, Ambassador. (Approximately 20% to 30% of the Guild)

Plebeian – this is a member of the common people. This person would have citizenship and access to the resources of the guild in exchange for service in the militia. (Approximately 60% to 70% of the Guild)

Auxilia - this is the rank for a player applying for citizenship. After a period of service in the military or other duties this player will be granted the rank of Plebeian.

Class

Proconsular – This rank is technically the leader (owner) of the guild. This player should be treated as if they have served in the position of Consular and now has retired from this position. If there is no other Proconsuls in the city then he/she is automatically gets the Title of Governor. (1 per guild)

Consular – This rank is the leader of the Senate and should have all the guild controls of the guild leader except to disband the guild. If an Imperator is not declared yet then the Consular is the supreme military officer. To gain the Rank of Consular you must hold the Title of Senator, Imperator, Protector or Part of the Legion. (1 player)

Chancellor - This rank is the Helper of the guild, meaning that he/she helps the Proconsular rule the guild, and helps maintain peace within the guild.

Legendary Legion - The elite guard of the legion. only the most loyal members who has proven them self and do not wish to seek the career of senators. The main line of defence in a War. All across LG its an honor to meet the LL with their famous red bandanna. personal guard of lord of spear. they are loyal to the core. proud to stand and die for their leader.

Senator – This rank gives the player control over rank progression of other players and grants citizenship. The Senators vote to nominate special magistrate Titles that grant access to the Senate. The Senators are the only ones to vote an Imperator (Dictator). (Approximately 10% of the Guild)

Imperator – Once declared this rank is the supreme military commander. Master of the Infantry (infantry, skirmishers, auxiliary). This player with this rank appoints membership to the Assemble. This rank would have all the necessary rank privileges to control the guild but would not have rights to determine rank or change privileges. (Only 2 player at a time)

Protector - This rank is the highest honor an member can achieve. Earned in combat with blood and honor you have proven your self to your Lord. Your job is to protect the body and mind of the lord. you are his shadow his life is in your hand.

Assembly Member – This rank would give the player access to the chat channels or whatever else that is needed to communicate ideas to help determine the direction of the guild. This rank is appointed by the Imperator. (1 for every 6-10 players)
