In making a proper decision about my favourite candidate I have been navigating around in recent history of the GWW. This has made me formulate the following question: What do you (candidate) think a bureaucrat should have as a main human attribute in means of solving/avoiding confrontations on a wiki? --Silverleaf 05:16, 17 August 2008 (UTC)

I hate to sound like a broken record in comparison to responses you've received from others, but patience and the ability to comprehend the issues at hand - and the various parties' viewpoints on them - are the basis of being able to effectively solve problems. Rarely does anyone outright "fail" - everyone has their off days, and things can always be handled better, but it's best not to dwell on such things with regret, but rather to (as implied by my response to your first question) understand why the response was sub-par and correct such for the future. There's no simple way to "get better" at handling conflicts, because conflicts aren't always something you know the nature of ahead of time. Instead, you simply have to think on your feet and adapt to whatever the current situation may be.

I know this answer, and some of the others you've received, all sound idealistic and what not, but you're asking questions which are so general in nature that they're bound to get answers more philosophical than specific. (Aiiane - talk - contribs) 07:02, 19 August 2008 (UTC)

By looking at your edits you seem to be the best candidate in terms of neutrality and fairness continually working on Wiki preservation. It also seems that you are winning by a mile, so if elected, please mind, that preservation and innovation are two inseparable forces of a single process. If either of them dominates the imbalance will lead to deterioration and perhaps disintegration of what is meant to be preserved.
