I wish to hold a higher responsibility on this wiki and would like to help make it a better place.--Kronix xxx 02:06, 7 March 2011 (UTC)

For what specific reasons do you want adminship? Aqua (T|C) 02:09, 7 March 2011 (UTC)
I would like to show how I can contribute to this wiki in a higher form, and I believe that I can truly help this wiki. --Kronix xxx 02:12, 7 March 2011 (UTC)
Normally it is expected that you show yourself first and then subsequently request adminship. Many people in their RFAs have explained how they would do so much more if only they were admins; it is a thoroughly unconvincing argument. In addition, as a person who doesn't edit much but lurks quite a bit, I, quite honestly, have no idea what your thoughts are on anything at this time. In short, I believe that while you might make a good admin in the future (only time will tell), I do not believe at this time, with your first contribution being about two weeks ago, that you have an adequate grasp of the community, the wiki, or the policies. I also don't believe that you fully understand what an admin *is*. It doesn't take adminship to contribute in a higher form, it just takes a willingness to do so. tl;dr: Too early. Wait, establish yourself and your views, and try again later. Aqua (T|C) 02:18, 7 March 2011 (UTC)
I understand what you are saying but I will tell you now my beliefs. I think that the wiki has many flaws that I beleive I can help fix. I am friendly with many of the Admins in game and talk to them frequently there about what to do better. What I am saying is that I think that the wiki is 80% made up of good people and 20% made up of people who just ruin it for the rest of us. I would have voted in the Bcrats election if I had enough edits. Thanks for reading this. --Kronix xxx 02:23, 7 March 2011 (UTC)
(Edit conflict) I won't ask for names, but I will reiterate what I've previously stated. I, personally, do not think that you, as a semi-new user, have an adequate understanding of the wiki, the community or the policies. I also don't think that an inability to even vote in BCrat elections should prove to you that you haven't been around enough. In addition, other than setting up this RFA, your user page, making several edits to the bcrat election and talking to various people, you have no edits. Not having edits in Main, Main talk, File, File talk, Template or template talk further cements the idea that you lack the experience here to be an effective admin at this time. Also, I want you to (with specifics) explain to me what you would do with sysop tools that you couldn't do without them, and why you need your sysop tools to do so. Let's Restart: Talk Here[edit]

Read above to find out more. --Kronix xxx 02:28, 7 March 2011 (UTC)

Well first let's start with the fact that I personally think that I would make a good admin and feel that If i had the chance, I could show you that with the tools, I could delete old pages, that either are inactively used, or that they contain no important information. I know more than you think about the system of adminship works and, not to be rude, but I disagree with you. I can simply go out right now and talk on discussion pages about what I think can be done to these aspects of the game. I await your response. --Kronix xxx 02:38, 7 March 2011 (UTC)
"I personally think that I would make a good admin" I am not arguing with you there. I just feel I can't say that yet, maybe in the future, but not yet.
"if I hand the chance, I could show that with the tools" Why not show it to me now?
"I could delete old pages, that either are inactively used... " Do you feel that the current admin team needs help with that currently?
"or that they contain no important information." statements that take the form "I will delete all pages with <subjective measure here>" worry me greatly. Care to elaborate?
"I know more than you think about the system of adminship works" By all means prove me wrong.
"I can simply go out right now and talk on discussion pages" Why haven't you yet then, if it's oh so easy and you have so many ideas you wish to implement.
Also, theres a great quote I got from a blog somewhere: "The burden of proof lies with the person making the claim." Aqua (T|C) 02:52, 7 March 2011 (UTC)
Good Night for now --Kronix xxx 02:58, 7 March 2011 (UTC)

(Reset indent) "I would like to show how I can contribute to this wiki in a higher form" . That statement confuses me. As it currently stands, all users have the same ability to contribute to the wiki, aside from the ability to delete, block and a couple other trivial tasks. Cases in point: contributors like Silver Edge and J.P. (we all know the list could fill this page). The former is my go-to when it comes to formatting articles while the latter does an amazing job with files/images; neither are admins. If you have this strong desire to contribute, then please, by all means swing by Guild Wars Wiki:How to help and see what peaks your passion. If you have questions about how to do something, swing by a talk page and ask. We're willing to help. G R E E N E R 04:58, 7 March 2011 (UTC)

Aqua and Greener are absolutely correct. Your comment about deleting old pages notwithstanding, if you want to be of service to the wiki, there are any number of ways in which you can accomplish that goal without admin tools--far more, in fact, than the acquisition of a handful of admin tools would give you. And, if (as seems to be the case from your statement in the section above) you both want to be of service to the wiki and feel that there are things that should be being done differently, then there are appropriate channels for voicing those concerns and eventually seeing the changes you'd like to see implemented. In simple point of fact, even if you were to be giving admin tools, you wouldn't be able to change much of anything anyway without first garnering community consensus/changing the appropriate policy since any attempt to make changes without one or both of those things would inevitably be met with implacable resistance. And besides, if you are earnest in wanting to help the wiki/wanting to become an administrator so that you can help the wiki, then the best way to advance your case (and the only way that you will ever stand even the remotest semblance of a chance) is to become involved with the community/with policy discussions/to improve the wiki without the need for admin tools. — Defiant Elements +talk 06:55, 7 March 2011 (UTC)

"I can simply go out right now and talk on discussion pages about what I think can be done to these aspects of the game." What in the world does this have to do with becoming an admin on the wiki? We have absolutely nothing to do with changing "aspects of the game". As DE pointed out above, if you feel things can be changed for the better on the wiki, then by all means, propose your changes on the appropriate talk page and see if the community agrees with you. You don't need admin tools to do that. -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 07:23, 7 March 2011 (UTC)
agreed with all above statements by all users other then Kronix xxx, i would also like to point out that you can already go ahead and make changes to the wiki see Be bold-User Zesbeer sig.png Zesbeer 07:26, 7 March 2011 (UTC)
I agree with you all I am new and haven't proven myself so with all purpose decline me my desire. I do not have anything to say and I wish I could just have prepared more before I tried this. The one who voted with me please change your vote, for I don't deserve it. I am not logged in because my computer is a little messed up, but I promise you I will try again someday and I will be more prepared.--75.69.188.64 03:05, 8 March 2011 (UTC)
Also I agree with DE and understand that, but if I were to do that without the tools, then why would I ever need the tools?--75.69.188.64 03:14, 8 March 2011 (UTC)
Well, if you can do it without them why do you think you need them? They really do nothing other than make you the janitor. -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 03:23, 8 March 2011 (UTC)

Exactly my point, I no longer believe I deserve them. I told you before if you read my input before my previous one.--75.69.188.64 03:48, 8 March 2011 (UTC)

wait i am confused is the ip 75.69.188.64=Kronix xxx?-User Zesbeer sig.png Zesbeer 03:59, 8 March 2011 (UTC)
Yes, that is Kronix's IP address. And Kronix, I hope that in time you'll get to the point where the community wants you to fill the role of an admin. Contribute, prove yourself to us, and give it time. If you are truly interested, swing by Category:Resolved RFAs to look at those who came before you. G R E E N E R 04:10, 8 March 2011 (UTC)
Well I have noticed that many of you all tried and failed so I will do what you did and try a second time when I'm more prepared, and thanks for the link. :) --75.69.188.64 23:27, 8 March 2011 (UTC)
