Talk:"Stand Your Ground!"
Isint the cost rather harsh? I mean 15 enrg when you can use "Watch yourself!" as less conditional AL boost and enrg management? --Celesty 23:56, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
- Not anymore :( 76.5.78.178 00:50, 16 March 2008 (UTC)
- It's one of the few skills(good ones) that really boost your team defense. The cost is harsh but if you are not in RA or TA(awful energy management) you can manage the cost, at Leadership 12 you can get back at least 6 energy.--ShadowFog 13:32, 20 August 2008 (UTC)
- Let's add: It's only non-elite good defensive skill the Paragon has for himself.--ShadowFog 13:21, 13 October 2008 (UTC)
Trivia[edit]
Think it's related to, when in pre, doing the quest Charr at the Gate, as you run in Rurik shouts "Stand your ground!".. Bear in mind, Prophecies was made before Nightfall.. Or it could just be Stand Your Ground because you're not moving..KΦΦbes talk 21:42, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
- to stand your ground means fighting, not letting go, coming up for your opninion etc, often vvhile the case is already lost. Fenrir Dragonbone 23:44, 24 December 2008 (UTC)
- Does this stack with Save Yourselves? or hoe does this work?

Other Trivia[edit]
Seen bible verses used elsewhere, or it may also jsut relate to the common phraze that "sthand your ground" means fighting... but in Ephesians 6:13 (NIV) it reads "Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand." not gonna add it without verification tho... MrPaladin talk 20:10, 16 July 2009 (UTC) Stand your ground is a phrase used in a lot of movies, books etc, not because they all reference to the bible, but just because it is a normal phrase. I don't think Anet thought of the bible when they made this skill.
- There still might be intentional reference here though if you do look at that line. Paragons are the champions of the gods, and they do wear full heavy armour, plus the day of evil coming could be symbolic of the Nightfall, so, the quote does make some sense. I agree without verification it's far too common a phrase to put as trivia, though still worth remembering. 82.11.226.30 17:36, 31 December 2011 (UTC)

Soldier's Fury + Stand Your Ground = -20 Armor[edit]
Someone add a bug where if one uses Soldier's Fury (-20 armor) and Stand Your Ground (+24 armor), or vice versa, one still ends up with -20 armor --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 12.73.103.229 (talk).
