I think he means There's nothing to fear, do the percentages stack? -81.76.58.171 10:09, 19 October 2008 (UTC)

They do stack. They aren't armor per se, they simply reduce incoming damage. -Auron 10:21, 19 October 2008 (UTC)
I love building my entire H/H setup around this... Zhed using Mark of Rodgort and Vekk running SF, while keeping this up the whole time (not to mention TNTF) <3 158.123.160.40 14:37, 9 February 2009 (UTC)
This would be useless if not for degenerate overpowered skills like Searing Flames. - <Random IP>
Blazing Finale sez hi... Also Epidemic. Also Incendiary Arrows. Also Mark of Rodgort. Also Anthem of Flame....Yup, if not for Searing Flames, this skill would definitely suck big time - VileLasagna 14:02, 29 April 2010 (UTC)
He said LIKE Searing Flames. 88.107.132.24 18:18, 21 August 2010 (UTC)

What does this skill actually do? The description sounds like if you're standing next to a foe who is on fire, you will take less damage. Is that right? Fire spreads amongst adjacent creatures like disease does? I would like to see this skill reduce the duration or the amount of health degen caused by burning of any kind. *Malganis Frostmourn* 12.106.72.10 17:29, 22 October 2010 (UTC)

You're trolling, right?
First of all, burning doesn't spread like disease. Several burn-inducing skills have AoE type damage, but the condition itself doesn't spread. Furthermore, it's impossible for AoE burning to ever affect anything other than a foe. (Once disease goes off, it'll spread once to each unique source of the same creature-type. That's friend and foe alike.)
Secondly, the skill description is quite accurate and easy to understand, imo.
In lamest terms...
If a foe is suffering from the burning condition, they deal 5...29...35% less damage to any allies under the effect of "They're on Fire!"
Please, tell me you weren't serious. User Ryuu Classic R.jpg Ryuu -Matters. ♦ 18:25, 22 October 2010 (UTC)
No, I'm not trolling, it was a serious question. The description did not make sense. Now it does, thank you for your explanation and condescending tone. *Malganis Frostmourn* 12.106.72.10 19:42, 22 October 2010 (UTC)
Well, I'm glad you appreciate my tone. I find it to be a hit'n'miss game with the public. User Ryuu Classic R.jpg Ryuu -Matters. ♦ 22:00, 22 October 2010 (UTC)
I just tested in the Battle Isles with the Student of Burning. Burning condition DOES spread to adjacent people, like disease does. I guess we both learned something today. *Malganis Frostmourn* 99.48.30.109 00:06, 25 October 2010 (UTC)
Inspired by Malganis, I did some testing of my own with the Students in the Battle Isles. I discovered that not only are his claims true, but in addition to burning and disease spreading between adjacent people, so do daze, weakness, poison, blind, cripple, bleeding, and deep wound. I think we all learned something today. -MaskeusUser Maskeus sig.jpeg 20:07, 17 December 2010 (UTC)
Please say that you're trolling. –~=Ϛρѧякγ AHHH! (τѧιк) ←♥– 20:17, 17 December 2010 (UTC)
Ok, now I feel like a fool. I just read up on the NPCs in the Battle Isles, and they inflict the condition on YOU. I thought they had the condition only, so you could see what your weapons and spells do against a foe with the condition. Thanks for setting me straight. *MF, hiding in shame* 99.48.30.109 05:37, 30 December 2010 (UTC)
