This outfit looks pretty cool. If you don't like the blindfold, it also combines well with the Shining Blade headpiece. -- Hong 05:18, 18 December 2011 (UTC)

Best Ritualist outfit ever! Grenth may currently be their patron (mainly due to spiritual communion), but Kormir's domain/dogma are better aligned with your average Ritualists' philosophical outlook and desire for knowledge. ^_^ --Falconeye 06:36, 18 December 2011 (UTC)
Last I checked, in both Tyria and Cantha it is the Elementalist, not Ritualist, who are more tied to knowledge seeking (Ritualists are more of spirituality seeking from what I recall). Konig/talk 13:36, 18 December 2011 (UTC)

Lack of physics[edit]

I like this outfit, but the lack of physics on the chains bothers me a lot. Especially on the arms. When my character runs wearing this outfit, the chains just stick out rigidly into the air which in my opinion looks rather silly.

There are mechanics in the game that allowed parts of armor to behave like they were affected by gravity, although my suspicion is that this was not possible to use here because it would have required adding additional bones to the character skeleton which some of the Anet designers stated was impossible to do with costumes since they need to fit all PC skeletal animations.

Still, if I was the designer of this costume I probably would have decided to leave the "hanging" chains off the outfit or just replace them with ones wrapped around the wrists. I'm actually hoping it's not too late to make improvements to it. Thoughts? 13:03, 18 December 2011 (UTC)

Seconded. 18:22, 19 December 2011 (UTC)
Agreed. The boots for the male version look well ugly too. Other than that fairly nice costume. User Tytan Crow Crow.jpg Titan Crow 18:55, 23 December 2011 (UTC)
It's a pity, because things like that already exist in the game - the arm straps seen in many female monk armors (such as here) have physics. I guess something like that could not have been implemented in this costume due to the issues mentioned regarding the PC skeletons, but still, I can't help to wonder about what could have been. I wish the chains were jus wrapped around the wrists, too, but making aesthetic changes on a purely aesthetic item people pay real money for is something tricky. The rest of the costume is great, though - I really like this costume and the Lyssa one, they (together with the Grenth one) are my favourite among the gods' costumes. A-NET please put this in the online store![edit]

Not sure about others, but I wasn't around until after the update removing in IGS (In-Game Store); and I really wanted to have this.-- 01:14, 1 March 2016 (UTC)
