Adrenaline Gained From Balthazar's Spirit[edit]

So how many points of Adrenaline do you receive per hit at Rank 0? Rank 16? and all the ranks between? --Pwrkaril 01:00, 15 August 2007 (UTC)
This may have been added after your question, but the article mentions something like each rank gives it 1/25th more of an adrenaline "strike," so at rank 12 it is about half an adrenaline. I kind of feel sad now, I figured it would give more, but still useful. Elder Angelus 18:19, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
Ugh that is a pathetic amount of adrenaline. Pretty much only useful for the energy I guess. Green Arrow 19:51, 20 June 2009 (UTC)
At 15 you gain 3/5 strikes of adrenaline every time you take damage... Every time you're hit 5 times you have 3 strikes of adrenaline. This can be substantial if you're fighting against large numbers, where you will probably outrun yourself with adrenaline. Used in combination with skills that increase your gain of adrenaline, you can probably chain things like never before. 209.240.183.45 01:37, 4 July 2009 (UTC)

i use this alot and when u take something like 50 hits a second its insane i was waiting on skills to rechage as well as spaming save your self this was made for defy pain

Great with Life Bonding[edit]

In RA or TA(don't know if anyone use this tactic in TA), you can Life Bond Life Bond everyone in your party, then use Balthazar's Spirit Balthazar's Spirit on yourself. In turn, you will receive a lot of mana from your party taking damage, be sure to have a Blessed Signet Blessed Signet for more mana. ShadowFog 19:28, 26 November 2007 (UTC)

Orly? There is one problem: life bonding is pretty fail, waay to passive form and therefore boring and kinda weak. Dark Morphon(contribs) 09:02, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
Nothing that Shield of Regen can't fix. Ninjas In The Sky 08:23, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

ummm is it just me or is the adrenaline gain not working at all i keep trying builds to go with it but nothing seems to work

If I read the description properly, it's probably not giving you enough adrenaline to really notice. --RoyHarmon 04:21, 24 September 2008 (UTC)

Heroes?[edit]

Can heroes use upkeep spells? 24.20.13.213 04:51, 31 October 2008 (UTC)

Yes. If they are canceling the upkeep spell, disable it (shift click the skill icon), and force them to manually cast it on the desired target. Quazarjim 18:39, 2 November 2008 (UTC)

Stacking Effect[edit]

Has anyone noticed this stacking when cast on the same target? Our guild did a CoF run and had 2 people and the 600 keep BS on the 600 and it looked like he was getting 3 energy every hit. Each person showed that it was maintained on the target. Easy 17:37, 3 July 2009 (UTC)

Tested it again myself; each character maintains it, but the 600 only gets the benefit from one. Easy 14:32, 4 July 2009 (UTC)

this over essence bond[edit]

So I'm having a hard time understanding why I see people choosing this over essence bond if they plan on using it on themselves. Even at 0 smiting prayers the energy gain is still the same and this spell gains energy from all sources of dmg, whereas essence bond only does physical and elemental. One thing I was wondering though, if you were using both would you want to cast this one first or would it really matter? essence bond doesn't give energy when you're hit for zero damage, that's why ;P 76.90.33.125 14:00, 2 June 2010 (UTC)
I was reading back over this, and realized I completely mis-stated what I was trying to say lol. I was wondering why everyone used Essence Bond instead of Balthazar's Sprit, not the other way around. A ton of builds I was seeing were running essence instead, but I think having finally disseminated the word about the more wide spread energy gain from this one, less people are choosing essence over this as self energy gain unless they were being used tandem. Just makes more sense in the long run. Nay the One and Only User Nay the One and Only SIG.jpg 15:31, 14 October 2010 (UTC)

Incorrect Adrenaline Listed[edit]

I have corrected the adrenaline in the table to match the unofficial wiki. Previously, adrenal gain was listed as one point per rank, however, this is incorrect. While I did not test every rank, I tested with rank eight against a Mantid Monitor. Using 200-point SY! as my test, I attacked the monitor (25 points) to aggro, and it took 44 attacks (<1% of my health, so no gain from that) to fill the skill. 175/44 ~ 4, so at the very least that entry from the other wiki is correct. So... It's a flat 1 energy?[edit]

the skill description in game seems rather vague... i get why it says one energy on the page but the description i see in game is "Enchantment Spell. While you maintain this enchantment, target ally gains adrenaline and Energy after taking damage. (The amount of adrenaline gained increases depending on your rank in Smiting Prayers)".... so yeah it doesn't say u ever get more energy than a flat rate it just doesn't tell you its only 1 lil point 71.181.119.183 09:28, 17 November 2011 (UTC)
