Gaile Comments on Removal

Gaile has been kind enough to clarify the removal of this and several other pets from the game, or modifications of pets, in a very comprehensive post on her talk page. I wanted to add it on each relevant page so this information exists out there and clarifies these issues for a lot of people. I will post her comments relating to this here, and people can decide if they want to quote her directly in the article or paraphrase for encyclopaedic style and clarity:

You may be interested to know that another pet, the crane, did not require removal but did require modification, because Katy had designed a model that looked very much like another rare species. (You may recall it had a black crest and a ring around its neck.) As it turns out, that imagery would have caused problems with our getting the permissions that we needed to test in China, so that model was also modified to make it a different type of crane. -- Gaile 01:19, 10 October 2007 (UTC).

Added Head Comparisons of the two Crane Skins

I added the head comparisons of the older Red Crested Crane and the Current Blue Crested Crane. Feel free to fix up the formatting if you are more experienced with that sort of thing than me. I considered merging the two images into one and upload them as a single file to make the comparison easier, I might do that later if this layout bugs anyone. After going through some of the other pages I settled for the Gallery option, I think it does what I wanted to do perfectly and even made one of the images look better. Dancing Gnome 18:34, 12 October 2007 (UTC)

Attack Cry?

I'm not hearing my crane make a sound effect when using a Pet Attack or Critical. Has anyone heard anything? --Kiega123456789ooo (talk) 02:21, 5 August 2022 (UTC)
