Are the dates correct?
Um... Aren't the dates for the table ahead by a day? I mean today is the 14th and yet it lists today as the 15th. I assume that we are going off of PST since the majority of A-net's events are held in that zone and all.-MentaLNight 03:18, 15 August 2010 (UTC)
- On the wiki we actually always list UTC times. The thing which is a problem here is that the date changes dynamically. So the same quest combination can be displayed with 14th and later 15th. Previously we only listed the day, the quest was activated (here: 14th). I'll try to think of something to make that working here, the problem is just that the Sandford items change to a different time than the quests.. But I'll think of a solution. poke | talk 13:54, 15 August 2010 (UTC)
- Well it seems a day ahead using UTC so it's wrong 78.105.242.214 20:33, 15 August 2010 (UTC)
- idk, but I love the 3 day preview thing, makes looking for z quests so much easier than to the z quest page, than down to previews. I say good job to whoever made this page. 67.248.210.31 02:40, 16 August 2010 (UTC)
- The dates on this page also do not match the dates on Zaishen_Challenge_Quest. Its confusing when you click the "more predictions" link, and all of a sudden the dates shift by a day, including the bolded "todays quest". If the Sanford changes are the issue, then I would put them in separate tables. Right now its easy to assume they change at the same time using this table. Nietzsche 17:18, 18 August 2010 (UTC)
- I think I'm OK with the Zaishen/Vanguard/Shining Blade columns; the date refers to the new quest that day, while the bolded row is the current quest. However, the Nick column seems to be one out of sink for me - at 11:00 UTC on Saturday 17th the bolded item is the one on the row for 17th but it actually starts on the 18th and runs into the 19th. I think. 87.112.36.69 10:15, 17 August 2013 (UTC)

Proposal: link the wanted links to the "wanted: xyz" pages instead only to the "xyz" pages (like on the main "wanted by the ..." page). At least I'm mainly interested in the rewards and that's what I only get on the "wanted: xyz" pages. — The preceding unsigned comment was added by 84.161.35.123 (talk) at 21:04, 16 August 2010 (UTC).
- Oh, my bad, that was not how it should be, fixed. poke | talk 06:57, 17 August 2010 (UTC)
- No, the Nicholas ones are still off by a day. His do not change at noon. I'm not sure but think they change at midnight Pacific Time. I think that the Nicholas schedule needs to be removed from this grid as it is very confusing. You also need to unlink this incorrect list from his page. Darcy 12:34, 19 August 2010 (UTC)
- If fixed, it is fine on this page. a day is a day, it doesn't care if Nicholas changes the item in the morning, while other changes are afternoon. btw the Main Page is ok, so it should be only a minor part to fix. imho Pino 15:21, 19 August 2010 (UTC)

- If no one pointed out errors, this whole site would be a mess. Everyone's job is too make sure all info is accurate. That doesn't mean that I (or other "complainers") don't appreciate the hard work done. Darcy 13:05, 20 August 2010 (UTC)

Sorry, but it's still messed up. I checked this page at 7:00AM PST on August 21st, and it said that the August 20th Zaishen Stuff was Blood Washes Blood, Arachni, and Alliance Battles. This was correct. I had written down that these activities were scheduled for August 21st, because when I looked at the page earlier in the week, that's what it had told me. I played the game for a couple hours, and then I decided to fix my cell phone calendar schedule of Zaishen Stuff, so I checked this page again. At 8:45AM PST on August 21st, the page said that the *August 21st* Zaishen Stuff was Blood Washes Blood, Arachni, and Alliance Battles. That is wrong!! I refreshed the page again after 10:00AM PST on August 21st, and then it showed that the August 21st Zaishen Stuff is Bloodstone Fen, The Four Horsemen, and Guild Versus Guild, which was correct again. Depending on when you look at the page, it is STILL telling people the wrong date of the Zaishen Stuff. :(
If the problems are caused by the page rolling over the "day" multiple times per day, based on when certain bounties change, perhaps the quest table itself could be left alone, and another "table" created at the top of the page that says "the current activities are:" and have that area dynamically refresh? That way the quest table would always show an accurate list of which calendar date the activites will occur, and the "current activities" section would refresh itself as the bounties and quests change at their various times. Would that take care of things? Undead minion 16:39, 21 August 2010 (UTC)
- You spend too much item looking at wiki and also why don't you try and look at the date below it instead of thinking the dates should be perfect for you.--The Emmisary 17:21, 21 August 2010 (UTC)
- What is the point of having a list of stuff, and the dates on which the stuff occurs, if the dates are wrong?? The only reason I checked it that many times this morning was to gather details and pass them on to whoever knows how to modify the updating function to fix the problem. Since the table is problematic despite being fixed at least once, I suggested an alternative that may be easier to implement. Enjoy your malfunctioning table.Undead minion 05:18, 22 August 2010 (UTC)
- Minion: thanks for taking the time to check. Not sure what the solution is going to be, but it's good to have the facts before figuring out next steps. — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 07:04, 22 August 2010 (UTC)
- I corrected the problem Minion reported. The zquests are now being displayed in a row with the correct date at all times. I did this by changing the zquest cycle templates so that this page changes every day at 0:00 UTC. I didn't modify the time at which the dates change, so this still happens at 0:00 UTC. As long as the date column and the zquest column both change at the same time, the zquests will always be shown next to the correct date. Note that the line in bold will be the line with today's date, based on UTC. This line will have the zquests that will start being offered today at 12:00 PST. No one has yet programmed a way to make today's quest become bold at 12:00 PST while having the page show the dates on the same row as the corresponding quests. I didn't change the Sanford column nor the Wanted column. Are they currently being shown in the same row as the day they start, UTC? --War_Pig5 09:32, 18 September 2010 (UTC)
- My change was reverted. It prevented the correct current zquests from being displayed on the main page. This table is back to showing the incorrect date next to each zquest between 0:00 UTC and 12:00 PST. --War_Pig5 11:32, 18 September 2010 (UTC)
- Now it should be working perfectly thanks to Ebany's additional changes. I'm gonna go apply them to Zquest article, too. --War_Pig5 11:51, 18 September 2010 (UTC)

I suggest a solution: change the time on this wiki from UTC to PST. If the admin(s) refuse to do that, then change back to the old, static list that does not automatically update to the wrong dates--24.45.47.32 03:01, 17 September 2010 (UTC)
Pogahn Passage is missing
One of my characters needs Pogahn Passage so I was checking to see if it was coming up as a z-mission. I can't find an entry for it on any of the prediction or history pages. Is it not part of the rotation for some reason or am I just not finding it? There are 69 missions across all the chapters, but I can only find 68 entries in the various lists. — The preceding unsigned comment was added by MarkusErronius (talk) at 20:16, 01 September 2010 (UTC).
- Not part of the rotation cycle. Oh, and please sign your comments using 4 tildes (~), like this - ~~~~. - - Reanimated X 20:18, 1 September 2010 (UTC)
- That's strange, but thanks for the info. Properly signed this time. :) MarkusErronius 00:00, 2 September 2010 (UTC)
Date is right, but bolded one is wrong.
I'm here, looking at this page and on the main page, and it says that D'Alessio is the current ZM, but it is actually still Nahpui. Same for the other two quests as well. I'm going to make a copy of the page and then try to fix it in userspace, unless someone else can fix it first. — Ebany 09:35, 18 September 2010 (UTC)
- I can't do it; it uses plugins I'm not familiar enough with. — Ebany 09:38, 18 September 2010 (UTC)

- I implemented a similar change on the page Zaishen Challenge Quest because it was exhibiting the same problem as this page was. Also, I foresee that the second "-16 hours" in each line may cause a problem because the Cycle templates already have a -16 hour offset hard-coded into them. If the dates and zquests become misaligned, then I recommend removing the the second "-16 hours" and seeing if that fixes it.--War_Pig5 13:37, 18 September 2010 (UTC)
- Oops. Thanks for pointing that out! The -16 hours was only meant to go in the dates themselves; I guess I did a bad regex replace. — Ebany 13:59, 18 September 2010 (UTC)

- Note that in most cases when the current quests are wrong all you need to do is to purge the cache (press the UTC clock at the top). Please do that next time before going round all templates and try to fix everything. The cycle templates are hardly wrong because they are based on the same technique, Wikichu uses over at twitter, all that could be wrong is the displayed date next to it. So I'll just assume that the current page revision fixed that problem. poke | talk 14:31, 18 September 2010 (UTC)
- It wasn't that. The timestamps you had were wrong; I'd already purged. It works now I changed the timestamps. — Ebany 14:47, 18 September 2010 (UTC)
- For future reference, Poke's code was perfect. Someone else changed the timestamps, and I changed back badly :S — Ebany 16:26, 18 September 2010 (UTC)
- The current rev does indeed fix the problem of the wrong dates being displayed next to each zquest at certain times. Someone will not touch the templates ever again unless the cycle resets. --War_Pig5 01:46, 19 September 2010 (UTC)
- The Nicholas Sanford item is always a day off Ramei Arashi 15:25, 8 November 2010 (UTC)
- The date might be off given that Sandford's item changes at a different time than the quests, yet they are both “forced” into a single line. Plus the displayed date is based on the current time, so it is possible that the current date already advanced to the next day, while quests and/or item still remained the same. This is kind-of intentional and there is no real better solution to fix that (if you have one, just tell so). Nevertheless, the bolded line should always show the current quests/item and the +Nth line is always showing the quest/item that appears in +N days. poke | talk 21:55, 8 November 2010 (UTC)

- In fact the sandford items are listed wrong, today the main page displays properly skulls as todays item but they are listed for the 3rd of march and the bold marker is on the 4th where there is seeds which is both wrong. why not linking the date to UTC? according to UTC it is friday the 4th and the item on the main page is correct so why not highlighting that one? or did somebody change the code again? ;) [[109.130.50.168 16:01, 4 March 2011 (UTC)]]
