This makes for a really good E-denial elite, moreso than Wither. Plus, its not like its hard to find a cover hex in Curses. Good skill to use with to strip energy. FleshAndFaith 19:38, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
- If you can afford to go e-denial with a focus on caster hate, I agree, this would be the skill to do it with (and going /Me with skills like Power Leak or Power Drain). But personally, I think it lacks utility otherwise, as it only affects spells. It wouldn't see my bar going into RA, for example. --SoraMitsukai 00:31, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
- Well, to be fair, this would be overpowered if it affected all skills, and if it was balanced from there it would be underpowered against casters. I love it against monks. Throw this on and cover it with a few hexes. Suddenly all those quick 5 Energy enchants that maintain a prot monk, and the very basic 5 Energy heals a heal monk relies on cost double. Assuming you cover this properly, it will last the recharge and you can obliterate a monk's energy pool.FleshAndFaith 07:18, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
- Yet another Mesmer elite Inspiration Magic skill in the Necromancer skill tree, its a perfect compliment to Spirit Shackles but the slow cast times make it difficult to apply but probably cheaper than by using a mesmer primary. --Don Knowall 10:44, 20 July 2008 (UTC)
- this is 1 of my top ten worst skills

- It'd be hilarious to bring this to RA when the enemies are new to guildwars. "D: WHERE'D MY ENERGY GO D:D:D:D:" -- euphoracle | talk 21:13, 7 October 2008 (UTC)

what a dirty skill. does a person trying to remove the hex loose 5e more in the process i wonder?--Justice 05:34, 28 November 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, yes it would. They would cast the spell first, costing them the extra energy, then have the hex be removed upon completion of the spell. But hey, cover this with everything you've got. They will go ballistic trying to remove it, or simply not cast as much. Monk's can't afford the latter in many cases.
- This spell is DIRTY, MEAN, AND MIGHTY UNCLEAN. Majority of monk spells cost 5 energy, and are somewhat spammable. Now double the energy cost and what have you got? Dead foes, thats what.FleshAndFaith 21:34, 30 June 2009 (UTC)
I'd like to see this work like SS. →[ »Halogod (talk)« ]← 20:49, 7 March 2009 (UTC)
- Well the area of effect is nearby to one foe. How so would you want it to be like SS, because if it were to be nearby foes it might be too OP, draining nearby energy. If adjacent it may lose its usage. -/- Discuss 19:06, 7 November 2009 (UTC)
Fix that bug sometime Anet[edit]
I really do wish I could see the effects of this. 71.161.204.237 17:22, 1 May 2009 (UTC)
Interrupt[edit]
Does this skill take effect if the spell is interrupted? Or is it like other skills?--Ultima Flames 18:54, 7 November 2009 (UTC)
- I thinks its only upon spell completion -/- Discuss 19:08, 7 November 2009 (UTC)
- The energy loss effect only takes place upon a successful cast. So if the spell is interrupted, the energy will not be removed. Also, it might be good to note that this spell doesn't increase the energy cost of enemy spells, it just takes away energy after the fact. FleshAndFaith 00:42, 16 January 2010 (UTC)
