OVERRATED[edit]

This skill is bullshit, lasts 2-3 secs on a monk. what's the point?

Fuuck you monks for using this skill. It is because of you aasshooles because this skill is nerfes as hell. Tiberium 18:28, 4 July 2009 (UTC)

While your'e destroying skills[edit]

How about 25 energy and 90 recharge while you're at it?

Or don't be lame. Make it end if you use skills on allies. Change attribute to Strength.

Or how about making non W secondaries viable again? I know, I know, that's just crazy.

Anet needs to find better solutions to misuse of skills by secondaries.
Moving it to Strength might seem like a good idea but then Str Wars in pve will be unkillable. Make: Duration 1-5 + 1s for every 2 strength levels <-- fixes Secondary profession issues permanently, while not making it overpowered with pure strength. Btw... Why +10 armor? Removing some 1/8 of damage for max 5-6 seconds? =) Biz 08:15, 6 March 2009 (UTC)
Okay, i don't get it. According to "Developer Updates page", this was nerfed due to 4V4 issues. So, why in the hell they don't nerfed it for "PvP only" then? Many warriors use this skill in PvE and this isn't overpowered. Disciplined Stance is now broken in PvE. Good job. Noon 21:38, 7 March 2009 (UTC)
geez all they had to do was increase the break point. if a Mo/W wanted to spend 12 points into Tacticts to get a few blocks that be cool cause then they would have to sack Team support and Divine Favor to do it. Invinica monk equal useless monk... also since its clear that warrior def skills were meant to be used by fighter classes they should remove the stipulations that make it end upon the use of skill that fighter classes use and add one that made em end upon the use of skills like oh say Spells!174.144.43.237 08:36, 10 March 2009 (UTC)
Yes, ANet was very lazy with nerfing this skill. I agree with a PvE/PvP split:
Disciplined Stance (PvE)

5 Energy0 Activation time12 Recharge time, Stance, "For (1..7..8) seconds you gain +10 armour and a 75% chance to block attacks. Disciplined Stance ends if you use an adrenal skill."
Disciplined Stance (PvP) 5 Energy0 Activation time15 Recharge time, Stance, "For (1..5..6) seconds you gain +10 armour and a 50% chance to block attacks. Disciplined Stance ends if you use an adrenal skill."
How does this sound? The PvP version has a bigger downtime and lesser effect, while keeping the PvE version reasonable in something like a WE build. Astralphoenix777 07:32, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

Concise description[edit]

Should be 1 EnergyStances have no Activation timeNot worth 15 Recharge time "For 1...3...4 seconds, you still get burned by Searing Flames and block the next 1...2...2 attacks against you. When it ends, you are kicked out of the game for bringing bad skills". (Attribute: Anet is retarded and so is anyone who uses this skill now)

lol wat
Thats a great description, man. Anet should totally hire you to do the concise ones.
I love it when people say it like it is; kudos! Astralphoenix777 07:23, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

You get what you deserve[edit]

now dont be pathetic, this overruled melee in pvp, in stuff like RA and TA mostly, melee was getting totally crap 82.72.233.33 17:45, 7 March 2009 (UTC)

the nerf sucks poopy crap ass whore shit.
I agree for the TA/RA issue, but why making it totally useless for a PvE warrior? Look, @16 in tactic (meaning you are a warrior and you aren't in PvP), this one lasts ... 4 sec WOW AWESOME. (oh and btw, the "ends if you use an adrenal skill only hurts warriors) 82.230.69.14 10:30, 2 April 2009 (UTC)
Another Tactics skill, another pile-of-rubbish blocking stance. These all got nerfed because they were being abused by secondaries, but of course it shafts primary warriors just as badly. In fact, I've noticed ANet seems to go out of their way to nerf any skill that has cross-profession synergy. I thought the whole point of having a secondary profession was to take advantage of cross-profession combos. Perhaps ANet is now of the opinion that secondary professions were a bad idea in the first place? Or maybe they just expected everyone to use HAMSTORM instead of coming up with intelligent combos. Possibly shifting skills towards GW2 position (aka "we give up on skill balance and having top pvp"), the new elites could mark this as some got connections to GW2 (prepare GW1 players for GW3 by force..? - asuming GW3 will follow GW2's tracks).
