The Spirit's Effect[edit]

This spirit's effect is applied much differently than other spirits. After a good bit of testing, this is what I've come up with:

  • While the spirit is alive, it applies its effect to those allies that are within its range.
  • The effect stays on those allies it's applied to regardless of whether or not they move out of the spirit's range or the spirit dies.
    • With that in mind, once a player has the effect on them, they are free to move out of the spirit's range and cast an Item Spell at any point at any location in order to receive the health and energy bonus.
  • The only point at which the effect is removed is when the spirit's timer runs out, regardless of whether or not the spirit has been killed.

I tried it, didn't work. Unless it got fixed by now.

Add plz holding an item or affected by a weapon spell, since holding an item restricts its effect to the Ritualists only. And since + 39 max HP and +10 en are not that big deal this spell is rather useless. I mean cmon! 39hp and + 5en (5en is the spirit cost) at lvl 12 Spawning Power!? Is it worthed the skill slot + the 3sec cast + the 5en? Consider that this is the only Binding Ritual in the Spawning Power skill tree!!! Not at all worthed... Spaghetti 19:45, 2 February 2008 (UTC)

It already says holding an item, albeit indirectly. Please note the "Item Spell" reference in the Notes section. "Affected by a weapon spell" is something entirely different. An Item spell--a ritualist holding an item, would be something like Tranquil Was Tanasen. A Weapon spell would be something like Vengeful Weapon. Hope that helps. 24.113.71.87 14:33, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
I'd like increases item spell duration myself, maybe 20%.70.100.94.64 23:13, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
(Im on a roll tonight!) This Spirit is functioning like a substitute to your lost weapons due to an item spell except not returning all energy lost, some health is gained back. If thats what it does it really isn't adding an edge against foes nor supporting your team, you will have been better off just taking Mighty was Vorizun alone. I've been trying to actually use this but It would be very egoist of me to take this just so I only want 40 health and 10 energy, and even if I take these two(Vorizun and "Empowerment") I still dont have an energy management. If your going to get killed anyhow, you will die anyhow, this spirit isn't delaying anything nor helping you in the energy management.--ShadowFog 04:27, 16 February 2009 (UTC)

since it is the only spirit in spawning power maybe it was meant to be used by those spells that destroy them? spawning power and then an attribute line other then a ritualist one that has no spirits? Justice 08:44, 23 July 2009 (UTC)

Skill Combination?[edit]

How about: Empowerment --> Ghostly Haste --> Attuned Was Songkai? This way, you don't lose health by holding the ashes of Songkai, you can very nearly maintain Songkai for great mana management, and the rest of your skills will have a reduced recharge timer? Its a hefty skill combination to try and keep up with and maintain, but it is an option for people wanting to use this skill. ~ A R A ~ 00:40, 5 August 2009 (UTC)

Icon[edit]

Any one else find the icon for this skill hilariously appropriate? Just sayin, I literally Loled.Frankmc 19:30, 17 September 2009 (UTC)

-- Not quite sure what you're getting at, but the icon does look a bit like Doctor Manhattan from "The Watchmen". --97.83.178.170 20:09, 10 November 2010 (UTC)

Synergy?[edit]

How does this skill have synergy with Mighty Was Vorizun? By itself, Empowerment gives +10 energy to those holding bundles. Vorizun is a bundle that gives +30 energy (forget about the redundant +health). Let's see the Synergy when you combine the two... nothing special happens. Synergy is when the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. In this combo, you just have the sum of the parts, literally 10 + 30. 90.198.74.1 18:07, 3 June 2010 (UTC)

And don't give me no circular argument i.e. one needs an item spell, and the other is an item spell. GAH 90.198.74.1 18:07, 3 June 2010 (UTC)
Agreed. Basicly all Item Spells would fill the criteria in that case :S - J.P.User J.P. sigicon.pngTalk 19:05, 3 June 2010 (UTC)
It doesn't synergise, but it provides a benefit of sorts when used together. Combined they give you as much energy as an ele, allowing you to fling Essence Strike, Channeled Strike, Spirit Rift and Spirit Burn but of course leaving you with the hideous drawback of having to replenish your spent energy supply. Personally I'd like like to see Empowerment reworked to provide +1...2...3 Energy Regeneration to all non-spirit allies in range: now that's empowerment. :D --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Medlar (talk).
Bad logic fail. 90.206.126.84 15:27, 17 August 2010 (UTC)
In what way? Genuinely asking, because it works for me...I use Spirit Channeling to regain the energy. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Medlar (talk).

Use[edit]

Does anyone ever use this skill? Just curious. It seems so niche and has such a weak effect.--Ph03n1x 17:55, 17 April 2012 (UTC)

Soul-Twisting Ritualists in DoA could use this to help the Glaivers. Otherwise, yeah. *Malganis Frostmourn* 12.106.72.10 16:26, 18 April 2012 (UTC)
