Vanquisher[edit]

I vanquished/mapped this area and all foes were removed, including the naga pop-ups in northern section of map, all bosses were gone too. All the was left to kill were the Scavenger groups which totaled 81 kills for me. --Tea 17:36, 29 July 2011 (UTC)

Confirmed. I vanquished the area and got 420 exp, 420 gold at 84 kills. No monsters left anywhere except for scavengers, bosses included.--Mohd.Alosa 10:32, 1 August 2011 (UTC)
I had the ZVQ for this area for a little while, went to do it today and I got the WoC version of the map, and not the normal one.. What's more annoying is that I've not done Cleansing, and I don't have it active either... 86.17.72.80 22:56, 6 August 2011 (UTC)
How much of WoC had that character started? Were any WoC quests active? Were there any other players in your party? (I'm trying to collect data about which actions causes which spawns to appear where...it's apparently different from how we currently document it here.) Thanks — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 23:41, 6 August 2011 (UTC)
I'd started WoC, and had done several of the quests.. However I didn't have Cleansing Haiju Lagoon in my log. I did however have Cleansing Rhea's Crater active (which was next after Minister Cho's Estate). I also had the Courier quest active.. and that was the only WoC quests I had active. I was the only human in the party, of me and 5 heroes 86.17.72.80 20:09, 7 August 2011 (UTC
That seems predictable. If you have Cleansing Rhea's Crater active, then you must have already done at least the NM version of Cleansing Haiju. Which means that you should have post-cleansing spawns, not Factions-default mobs.
The same thing happens in WiK: once you start WiK, you get Mantle/PK spawns across Kryta (changing in concentrations/sizes/specifics as you progress). You can't get Proph-default again until after Battle for LA is won. — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 20:57, 7 August 2011 (UTC)
NO!!! I have not done Cleansing Haiju Lagoon, I did say that in my FIRST post above, you get the Haiju Lagoon quest from a different NPC (who's in Seitung Harbour, not Kaineng). When you complete the Minister Cho WoC quest, the next one offered in Kaineng is Cleansing Rhea's Crater, which is where I was upto. 86.17.72.80 21:32, 7 August 2011 (UTC)
I don't think you can up to cleansing Rhea without having first cleansed Haiju. Yes, the quest givers are different NPCs. But the KC NPC doesn't appear to offer the Jade Sea cleansing quests unless Shing Jea is cleaned up first. — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 22:10, 7 August 2011 (UTC)
I have zero recollection of doing any of the Seitung Harbour quests.. I'm 99.9% sure I haven't done them. I have another character almost at the same point, I'll see if the same thing happens. 86.17.72.80 22:20, 7 August 2011 (UTC)
Though it may be different for NM quests, in regards to HM quests, I can't skip the Cleansing Haiju Lagoon (or, in turn, Zen Daijun). Konig/talk 13:30, 13 December 2011 (UTC)

Vanquished with Cleansing Haiju Lagoon quest active (didn't attempt to complete, I was there for the VQ and Initiate died without reaching the quest marker) with a total count of 70 foes Beleeth 03:54, 28 November 2011 (UTC)

Map[edit]

Just to say that this is a really quick vanquish with WoC spawns; as can be seen in this small map (took 13 minutes) File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.jpg Chieftain Alex 17:27, 24 August 2012 (UTC)

Missing Xi Gai ?[edit]

While I was exploring this version of the map, I discovered the following strange thing: My mini map showed the Elder Kappa Shell Collector, but the NPC Xi Gai was not there. So I'm not sure if he is part of this kind of the map. Balwin 14:34, 7 August 2011 (UTC)

What quests did you have active? What parts of WoC had you completed yet? (Active quests, on rare occasions, will suppress certain NPCs.) If it turns out Xi Gai won't return under any circumstances, that might be accidental on ANet's part (they do have a way of overlooking secondary characters). You could do troubleshooting with us or simply report it at the official bug forum and report back here. — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 16:34, 7 August 2011 (UTC)
So I have checked this again. I have finished WoC and no Cantha related quest active. The mission map shows clearly the symbol for the Elder Kappa Shell Collector but the NPC Xi Gai is not there. And there is also no corpse or something there. So something is definitely wrong here. Balwin 08:06, 27 August 2011 (UTC)
You cannot have finished WoC, because only the first part (of three) has been released. Do you mean that you have finished all the NM and HM quests?
In any case, I recommend that you report it as a {{bug}} on the official forums. – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 16:52, 29 August 2011 (UTC)

Yet Another ANet Screw-Up[edit]

This quest is scripted so poorly and the mobs are so large and numerous, it's impossible without an exploit (and that's in normal mode!). The only way to beat it is to try to lure that idiot initiate away from the hot spot so he won't commit suicide, then try to pull a few foe at a time in a different direction. The luring is by holding a vampiric weapon or having a minion that needs healing, so the initiate will follow as you move away from the hot spot. Takes several restarts to even get near to beating it. WAY TOO HARD! This is another example of anet stupidity. 66.47.27.36 20:09, 8 August 2011 (UTC)

This is cake-walk easy! Use better skills/tactics/heroes next time. Beyond content is designed for veteran players. ^_^ --Falconeye 08:22, 27 August 2011 (UTC)
Wait, you failed in NM? bring more spirits to distract afflicted, only have to tank them for a set time. --File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.pngChieftain Alex 17:59, 27 August 2011 (UTC)

Bug?[edit]

So I headed out to complete cleansing Haiju Lagoon and I noticed a lone Pet - Elder White Tiger. Curious I advanced until I noticed there was not a single person around, just the tiger. I've inched very close and no pop-ups appeared. This a glitch or something? Screenshot link proof here. http://img849.imageshack.us/img849/8778/gw087.jpg Daefaron 19:17, 7 October 2011 (UTC)
