To be Moved?[edit]
with the creation of the Historical monument of Kings Watch shouldn't some of this information be removed from this page? Malegnis 15:47, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
- No its reffered to as King's Watch in-game so that would make the other artilce irrelevant ~ Kurd 20:22, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
Was it moved in Game?[edit]
If this was placed in 1AE, 1070 years ago, where was it on the day of the Searing?
Note that it is not in the picture taken from the same position in Pre.LeFick 23:22, 21 October 2007 (UTC)
- Hmm, very observant...not to sure, only thing I can think of was that a tornado came through? Or atleast there were 2 statues and one got destroyed during the Searing.--§ Eloc § 04:03, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
- I think it hadn't come back from the cleaners yet.LeFick 05:01, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
- I know! The Charr musta moved it just to confuse the Ascalonians and while they're standing around like "WTF?!? Why is there a statue here and not there?", the Charr then jump out and kill them all...or something like that.--§ Eloc § 14:08, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
- Clever :)I don't remember seeing them satues in pre-searing anyway.--The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Smithyben .
- That was my point exactly, as the game history indicates its been there for a thousand years since King Doric was crowned. LeFick 16:28, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
- Dunno, but you can't expect A-Net to get everything completly correct, no one's perfect and it's only a game, right?--§ Eloc § 22:56, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
- While I did run across the signpost in Pre for Kings watch, which would make it a legitemate Pre-Searing location, the statue is whats missing. Could it be that the survivors, placed the staue before leaving the area? LeFick 02:31, 31 October 2007 (UTC)

- I had an 'uncovered in the Searing' idea when i noticed this, but seeing the images side by side blows that theory I think. Prof alf 13:49, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
- How could they uncover King's Watch? was it burried in the ground or something? — ク Eloc 貢 00:35, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
- I speculated during the 1000 years it may have been buried under one of the mounds of dirt in the pre-Searing Regent Valley. This doesn't completely make sense, but if was erected in 1AE there has to be some reason it's not seen in pre-Searing. Prof alf 03:08, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
- I think it was just a mistake by the programmers — ク Eloc 貢 16:02, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
- Could be totally right about that, and could be a limitation of the software. Since the monument is part of a post quest, it may have been impossible to include in pre-Searing without some difficulties in separating the two. Either way it is noticeable, and I really hate a mystery. Prof alf 17:05, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
- Well one is used in the pre searing as you have to tame a pet near it. — ク Eloc 貢 17:06, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
- In The Ranger's Companion quest it mentions the statue of Melandru, but not the monument. I don't know if the statue still has its mending properties in post. Prof alf 17:37, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
