Talk:Low Blow
Gee, nobody's yet realized the godliness of this skill? +70 damage, 6 adrenaline, with activation time? And that's not even counting the conditional CA. Arshay Duskbrow 01:42, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
- I think it's because it's only really been mostly played with it +30-35 damage, since the PvE event wasn't exactly focused on getting Deldrimor points. — 130.58 (talk) 05:14, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
Most likely most people don't have past rank 3 yet. I know on GWO couple days back I pointed out the merits of this one to replace Galrath Slash or Executioner's Strike. Hammer users will love it for the 3/4 activation. At Rank 10, Low Blow is just plain sick. I plan on farming ranks just for this skill alone. Buddah668 08:03, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
Has anyone else tried this skill and noticed that the bonus damage doesn't seem to be working? --Thervold 00:58, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, it seems to be broken. I gave it a go today and was lucky to do 30 dmg. Buddah668 03:43, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
- The damage does not ignore armor. I tested it on some dummies along with Brawling Headbutt; the latter gives the stated 70 damage against any armor lvl dummy, but Low Blow does 70, 49 and 35 damage on the AL 60, 80 and 100 dummies respectively. Dunno whether it's intentional, but for the time being I'm mothballing this sucker. Out of morbid curiosity I tried it on a lvl30 Destroyer (warrior class)... it does a whopping 18 dmg. - It's still semiuseful as an adrenaline-based non-elite KD that doesn't make you lose all adrenaline. I've tried using it in PvE thumping builds with moderate success. Move Like A Dwarf is far more reliable though... Arshay Duskbrow 05:01, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
- It isn't bonus damage, its damage. Bonus damage has + in front of it. Executioner's Strike does +42 damage. This is like shattering assault, it does only base damage. Theoretically you should be able to use Shadowy Burden and achieve around 150 damage from this. 69.137.78.47 17:11, 16 December 2007 (UTC)

- all bs, some damage has no type, bypassing armor calculations. If a skill's description does not specify a damage type, it generally inflicts typeless damage. Brawling Headbutt ignores armor, this skill doesn't -> bug
- Bah! even after the May 15 2009 update, this skill is still bugged! But, interestingly the Cracked Armor condition is now applied before any dmg, thus hitting an AL 80 dummy gives the same dmg (120) as the AL 60 dummy. (Which is further proved by the fact that subsequent Low Blows score the same amount). The AL 100 dummy only takes 85 dmg though, and our lvl 30 Destroyer (warrior class) now gets 52 dmg. So even the new conditional bonus damage is mitigated by armor :( Rake. 17:54, 15 May 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah. 120 Damage might have been too good on top of a Brawling Headbutt, but now it is only better, but still not good enough for the slot. The problem is also that the application of cracked armor on targets that already got knocked down and hurt is almost like kicking a dead person for a second time, just superfluous. --Longasc 09:56, 16 May 2009 (UTC)
- Usually true, though on a 28jotun or some other big goon its a great opportunity to deal a bodyblow next. 75.158.134.214 17:48, 28 August 2011 (UTC)

Note that as this is a touch skill and not an attack, it will not return the adrenaline used (So you can't do a complete chain with it, you have to get an additional swing in). 76.15.50.131 03:25, 25 August 2008 (UTC)
