Talk:Master Architect Gunther
Elite[edit]
Please, give Guther an elite of some value...Auspicious Parry or Defy Pain would be much better, or even an offensive skill. Barkingllama 05:29, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
- I think his whole Skillbar needs revamping, it's completely flawed protectors defense is only good if your standing near him(but most luxon groups use flame ele nukes making it useless) while at the same time he uses the shout charge which suggests your not staning near him for defense, Watch yourself is completely useless now making him even more vulnerable and whats the point in endure pain it makes looking after him harder(especially if he gest deep wound and endure pain ends he loses a huge chunk of his health).(Marsc 00:38, 23 March 2008 (UTC))
Why is his elite Charge!?! How can the Kurzicks possibly benefit from that stupid skill?! Fort Aspenwood is biased, period! 220.255.7.246 14:08, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
I think many people are looking at these skills the wrong way, for example, Charge, although perhaps not the best choice of elite skill, is not completely useless; it makes the final last stand of the Kurzick party inside the green gate much easier, think of charge in this situation more as a environmental effect, giving the kurzick party 'the edge' so to speak, against the luxons. Watch yourself was chosen before it got degraded, but it still has its use as giving Gunther an armor boost. Endure pain purely is designed to make Gunther harder to kill, true it does make maintaining his life harder, but in the short term it is very beneficial. People get hung up on protectors defence for being bad at helping players, but it was not designed for players use, Gunther alone is designed to benefit from it. Mortsu 18:32, 9 December 2008 (UTC)

Notes[edit]
What is the point of the note about Gunther destroying all masterless minions? It's like putting a note on a Kurzick Mesmer saying they use interrupts. <>Sparky, the Tainted 00:17, 17 May 2009 (UTC)
- He destroys them all passively and instantly, because prior to this updates some 'spies' would go kurzick with AotL, build a minion an army, kill themself with sacrifice spells and the minions would wipe gunther before the game even started. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 84.86.57.46 (talk) at 20:37, 22 September 2011 (UTC).
- There was a griefing technique in which a Kurzick player would gather an army, sac himself, and get MAG killed. This was nothing more than a way to prevent one element of griefing (of 50) in FA. --Mystisteel 00:22, 17 May 2009 (UTC)
- (and, in regards to the note itself, this is a very special ability unique to him, and a new addition to the game. It's a very important note, if you ask me)--Mystisteel 00:25, 17 May 2009 (UTC)
- But the note is useless because earlier up the page you can see his skillbar. <>Sparky, the Tainted 00:28, 17 May 2009 (UTC)
- Just about every boss with a unique ability has it listed like that, though. Check out Zoldark the Unholy (Today's Boss Kill), for example. All the boss' skills are listed, but the notes also specify what he is capable of. Removing the note here would be some very serious nit-picking (poor MAG only has 1, anyway). --Mystisteel 00:31, 17 May 2009 (UTC)
- The notes you speak of don't tell you what Zoldark does, just things to consider while fighting him (it?). All the creatures I see have no notes that simply state what they do, but how to get around it/prepare for it. A more beneficial note would say that because Gunther kills all unbound minions, he leaves turtles less distracted with killing them, therefore targeting Gunther more quickly. <>Sparky, the Tainted 00:51, 17 May 2009 (UTC)
- It's a wiki... yay. If you think there's a better note to write - write it. --Mystisteel 07:27, 17 May 2009 (UTC)

HP[edit]
Is anyone in the know about how much HP Gunther has? It seems he has quite a slab, though not as much as say, a Guild Lord. Puk 14:01, 22 August 2009 (UTC)
- He has 560 health, i tested it using Obsidian Flame on him when he was Enchanted with Protective Spirit (The damage was reduced to 56).
Notes[edit]
Why is that note there? I see it as informing other players how to manipulate the match for an easy win, it's abused enough as it is. Remove it please? Alcahmahol 13:03, 13 September 2011 (UTC)
- we document info nothing else. --The Holy Dragons 14:52, 13 September 2011 (UTC)
Energy?[edit]
Anyone know how much energy Gunther has? Is it possible to get him low enough to trigger mind wrack? Please leave the flaming out, I know energy denial on him is a terrible idea. --Supernick530 16:45, 1 March 2012 (UTC)
- Just tested this. I energy denied the shit out of him, and mind wrack never triggered. I guess I wish I had brought aneurysm along to see if he even had energy to begin with. He either has no energy at all to begin with, or he has energy in the hundreds and insane energy regen. --Supernick530 17:25, 1 March 2012 (UTC)
