Talk:Nifling the Chained

That is one crazy group he has with him haha. I found it was really easy if you pull them away. They all pull really easily and Nifling is his own group, so he can be pulled out on his own if you manage to get them all out of the circle. Just a little tip i thought might help. Anet! I besiege thee! Let thine creation, Nifling, possess shield of judgment. --Lou-SaydusUser Lou-Saydus Hail Storm.jpg 07:18, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
I take it that this boss does not spawn if the The Path to Revelations quest is active ? --File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.pngAlex 10:39, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

Farming for it's green[edit]

Anyone got any ideas how to? ^^ I like the look of this boss's unique, but kinda of tricky to farm due to interupts on the surrounding mesmers, degeneration attacks, potent healing from Reversal of Fortune on the monks and Shock from the eles.
600/Smite?
Perma Shadowform assassin?
Terratank + Balthazar Spirit monk with regeneration enchantments (mending, succor, watchful spirit)?
Maybe some kind of team to kill the surround and flag away to kill with some strong anti-caster build?
I'm kind of stuck on this problem. Any advice? --File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.pngChieftain Alex 08:10, 5 October 2008 (UTC)

Tried 600/smite/balth & succor support monk and it works. --File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.pngChieftain Alex 20:04, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
As said above i perma-bombed him with budger, i was bored so i was running around seing what bosses i could take, and he is one of them, but be sure to take all the grasping things around him first
prefferable 2 by 2, because <insert dervish skill> hits through shadow form and causes 120 damage in HM, also in his group the monks have bane signet which too hits through shadowform, also the
eles have earth non-target AoE that hits through shadowform. All in all alot of damage to you, but i survived with 11hp lol, using death's retreat to heal myself on budger everytime it recharged. No drop, took 10 minutes, not worth it imo. --91.108.174.222 21:30, 29 March 2009 (UTC)
I'm very much interested in the same thing. If someone reads this and got something, hit me up. --MostDefinitelyNotHanz (talk) 18:50, 9 July 2019 (UTC)

Better map?[edit]

The one for this boss kinda...sucks. Maybe one that just leads directly to him? 24.233.254.51 20:37, 14 September 2009 (UTC)

I'll put one up in a second. Just need to get to him. Jon Will 14:45, 15 December 2009 (UTC)
Would it be preferred to have a map from Olafstead, or Norrhart Domain? - Jon Will 14:57, 15 December 2009 (UTC)

Name Trivia[edit]

I found what appears to be a link between this boss and one of the primordial realms of Norse mythology, Niflheim, the realm of cold. This boss's name would then be interpreted as something from the realm of cold, a 'Nifling'. As Grenth is the god of ice and cold, and this boss is undead (and located near what appears to be a weak point with the Underworld), is there a link? Nym 22:02, 27 November 2010 (UTC)
