Talk:Obsidian Spike Elementalists

I've tagged this page for deletion. From my point of view, this is simply a build article (and not a very thorough one at that) which belongs on PvXWiki, not on the official GWW. Whether or not this is a standardized build for the Zaishen Challenge does not really matter; at least, not enough to warrant a seperate article for every single one. I propose that the small overviews are added to the article on the Zaishen Challenge itself. -- Xazziri 00:30, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

I disagree with the deletion. This page documents the Obsidian Spike Elementalist team in Zaishen Challenge. It may not be thorough right now, but that in my opinion is not a good reason to warrant deletion. Stubs should not be deleted because they are stubs. I think having separate articles will help to keep the Zaishen Challenge page cleaner, especially if the tactics in the walkthrough of Zaishen Challenge are eventually moved to their respective team page. Trapper-Proof?

I tried solo trapping, then group-of-4 trapping and they tore us apart...staying at range and spiking...any tips if you run up against a team of these guys while solotrapping the zelite? Hylas 22:30, 22 December 2008 (UTC)Hylas

Trap @ the exit, cast range from the wall and run back in. They should eat their "gg"'s when they come in range to spike, and walk in traps. Bring Spike Trap to interupt the initial spell if they manage to get in range. -- euphoracle | talk 20:08, 7 June 2009 (UTC)

Spike Target

They always spike the person with the lowest hp, so they can be easily defeated solo by anyone who brings a pet and comfort animal, they will just repeatedly spike the dog... not that it matters tho since their easily defeated 100 different ways as well 68.202.136.112 07:44, 2 September 2009 (UTC)

Recent changes (WoC final chapter update)

Ever since that last WoC update, these OF eles have being using the PVP version of OF (whereas the other group types are still using the PVE skill versions). Might be a bug since Anet has pretty much abandoned this mock pvp practice arena (although I won't complain since surviving their spikes is easy now). Also some of the OF damage indicates a few of the eles have 17 earth attribute points (101dmg) which may either be due to a Glyph of Elemental power effect or a 16 attribute + 1 (20% chance modifier) mutant mixed in that group. {edit:I was wrong about that last one, the +2 attribute comes from Glyph of Energy with at least 8pts in ES} -Wrei110.175.241.56 12:47, 14 February 2012 (UTC)
