Spirit Rift does more damage?[edit]

His Spirit Rift did 530 damage to my AL65 (60 + Prismatic) and my ele had 30 health left. I think my MM was even sitting at 530 (due +10) when insti-squished. I made sure my team was over 500 when I faced him and still had 1 hit deaths. --Falseprophet 22:24, 25 February 2008 (UTC)

How is it even possible for the boss to do over 500 damage when at level 21 channeling magic spirit rift does only 179 damgage? Even with a high level boss and alot of channeling magic, I can't understand how this is happening, but obviously it is true because with heros and henchies after using a powerstone of courage which gives a 10% morale boost was able to wipe out entire party. Even if you factor in armor penentration for the lighting damage, I'm still stumped at how this is possible. If anyone can come up with exact numbers for what the bosses channeling magic level plus the armor penetration damage total would really help. I can't figure it out.--68.75.111.204 16:40, 10 March 2009 (UTC)

I'm guessing it has a high channeling score (possibly more than 21) and it does double damage since it's a boss. Keneth 12:37, 14 March 2009 (UTC)
Late response, sorry. Anyway, if he's got 20 Channeling Magic then he'll deal 172 Lightning Damage vs. a 60-armor target, plus 25% armor penetration, which brings him to 223.0496 Lightning Damage. His status of Boss grants him double damage, bringing him up to 446 damage (rounded decimal). Now, being a Boss, he stands at an impressive level 30 in Hard Mode, which will undoubtedly grant him a damage bonus towards lower-level targets, such as when an Assassin attacks a wild animal and achieves a critical hit with every attack. So, his actual damage toward your average 60-armor target will be 446, with the unknown modifier (couldn't find the formula anywhere) of his higher level. Apparently, based on your accounts, his standard damage to a 60-armor target would be somewhere in the 530-540 range.
Regardless of all of this, there's a much, MUCH easier way to avoid getting yourself killed by his Spirit Rift. I brought interrupts and he never got the spell off once, but not for lack of trying.  : ) ~ A R A ~ 20:53, 4 June 2011 (UTC)
